I've got beef with this one. I love love love the MCs. They're cool and unique BUT it felt like Kanoko didn't really love Tsubaki as much??? It seemed forced somehow. She didn't see him as a potential lover til later which sucked to me because I like Tsubaki. Please change my mind (〜￣△￣)〜
I understand what you mean she didnt act much differently towards him after they got together other than being more aware of his "skinship". I think the reason that she never looked at hm in a romantic way is nothing to do with how she felt about him and just to with how she felt about herself. She never saw herself as someone thatd be someones romantic interest so she just never considered romance with anyone at all. In reality she really di love tsubaki that whole she just never realized it was a romantic sort of love because she couldnt see herself and romance go together in any way---- thats my guess at least not sure if i explained my thoughts properly but yeah
i just finished reading the first series, and about to read this one. but Kanoko's feelings for Tsubaki were really subtle but they were noticeable. She didn't act like momo-chan because she didn't view her interactions with guys in a romantic way. & tbh it's more realistic that she didn't do complete 180 and come down with the shoujo syndrome.

I've been a HUGE fan of this series which I found years ago and is still one of my faves. I agree that it didn't feel natural, rather rushed and abrupt that Kanoko suddenlt realized she knew what love was and she felt it for Tsubaki. I will get a lot of hate for this but no one can change my mind that Yabuki had such great chemistry. I would've liked to at least get more action between Yabuki and her and maybe have them break up and Kanoko later falling in love with Tsubaki. Honestly, I would kill for someone to write a story with the lead characters having Kanoko and Yabuki's personality because I think it had great potential.
