FL's parents sucks for not telling her how dire her situation and illness can be. ML sucks bcz he didn't tell her about it.
The princess feels like she's uninterested in politics, bcz I would assume she could have known about the emperor's wife...unless she was too young to know about it 7 year ago.
The maid is okay, but she's also keeping secrets from FL. However bcz the ML and FL's parents, maid didn't know about FL's situation and essentially made FL's situation worse just by helping.
Talk more you pale hair characters
FL started her investigation with one suspect in mind : her fiancé, because that's what the novel sypnosis says but she never names any other potential suspects of her own. But, she did grow over that and tried to relate the crimes here and there, to not 100% only blame her fiancé, but it's still....iffy.
She's not giving girlboss energy that I hoped for, she's giving undergraduate prosecutor with no experience
It's never been explained why he calls Leah "baby" or younger sister-like nicknames. Are they trying to justify ML's treatment towards ogLeah as being afraid??? Not only that, but is the author lazy in making plotlines that work? If it were me, I'd suspect Leah was on something for going to the empress for no apparent reason for the shoe, not sure why the perpetrators got her shoe
From the last scene she had with shitbag, it looks quite apparent she's in it to win. Which makes her queen for not standing with shitbag's shitty shittery shit.
As for ML (I don't remember names rn), I think it's quite reasonable for him to move on from someone like blondie. She never expressed care for him in the chapters before their break up, I think she only dated him bcz he flaunted her past idol image and wanted to not feel like shit. So for ML to say she hasn't changed, to me is like blondie will always be this narcissistic bitch that'll never apologize (heck, I don't think she even properly apologized to ML for ghosting and cheating on him)
I'm too lazy to go and find the chapter in the novel, but I'm pretty sure Killian only went back after they finished the fight and captured every Rigelhoff.
Now my question is, will that get changed? A scene I liked from the novel is when everyone returned home and reunites with their lover except Killian, to which Cliff told him what Rhyse/Elise said had happened.
Also, has Killian ever suspected Cliff/Rhyse of using witchcraft on him in the novel?
Sion ;
Progressed through time with her everytime she dies,
Killed her every time they progressed and he got the powers,
Shows a bit of sense/care in this timeline AND the timeline where she married that abusive hag,
Saved her even though he has no power at this stage,
Hated her because she's the daughter of the Marquis.
Kideon ;
killed slaves (possibly in every timeline),
Fell in love with her at first sight,
Proposed to her,
Seems super narcissistic and egotistical.
My opinion is based on why they killed in the past regressions :
I would argue that Sion is the better pick of the two because he killed her only because she's the daughter of his enemy, but he is not justified in killing her. However, in comparison, he didn't kill her for no reason—it's because she's related to the Marquis. Kideon? He killed 10 sword slaves for no fkin reason, and it looks like it'll be too late for him to change because he's already leaving before FL could say something like "I don't like injustice/prejudice against slaves".
And what if we time skipped 5 years, what if Kideon finds out that Sion is into his "fiance-to-be"? Would that stop him from hating slaves?
Nonetheless, there's too little information about Kideon to say he's the better choice.
Yep. People are also forgetting that Kideon seems to refuse to take no for an answer, and I doubt that is going to change, knowing how these stories and tropes tend to go. The point is, Laila doesn't know him AT ALL and doesn't want to marry him nor get to know him, and he doesn't care about what she thinks, he only cares about having her, at least right now. He barely knows her either, he just saw her and thought "I want you".
The point of this story to me seems to be healing and redemption, at least when it comes to Laila and Sion, so it pains me to read these comments and see so many people miss all nuance about them, their complicated history, and the current story/where they're at right now.
That's why I tried to argue that Sion is better, the comments are totally simping over that basic black hair cold duke type of kid.
Totally slipped my mind. I wonder how the Marquis will react if he ever finds out about it.
More on FL and Sion, he's beginning to ask himself questions—he's slowly building up this "weird" "strange" "foreign" feeling towards FL, but the other readers don't care : he killed her, and they think it's worse than killing 10 innocent sword slaves. (Emphasis on innocent)
Oh and more on Kideon, he mentions that a lady wanted to marry him when he was 5, he thinks FL would be into him like that without even knowing her oh my gosh
YEAHHH EXACTLY he already thinks she will say yes no matter what, or if she somehow doesn't say yes, he will find a way for her to do that (his view)
People are also forgetting that Sion never got to have a childhood and, well, grow up. He literally died as a child and suddenly woke up as an adult with this massive responsibility, withstanding who knows what to fulfil his duty and fight off the evil entity/demong king (I forget which it was in this story). He was never given the space to mature like humans normally do - and I'm sure it doesn't help that he was technically no longer human after he woke up as an adult, as his body was essentially immortal (but he was still able to feel the pain). And the fact that he had to go through all of that multiple times? Like he himself said, it'd be more odd if he wasn't insane at this point.
But he still has his humanity, and he has been given a chance to be more of a normal human again and seeing a different perspective. I feel like people forget that many of us don't exactly have empathy/sympathy as children, and it's something that gets taught/is learned growing up. A lot of children have black and white thinking (just look at the other comments below /j) - it only makes sense why Sion would still have that even when his body was that of an adult.
Usually manhwas art style tend to draft off into a different art style in newer chapters for the artist's benefit, and usually it's a nice change (sometimes horrible with like really big bangs) but HTGMYOMS? DELICIOUS, ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT, you can almost eat and savor that depressing and emotional tone from the newer chapters. I'm in love with the artist rn
It was bloody anyway, I would've never worn it again with some crazy witch's blood staining the unreachable areas
