Loved that cliff gets thrown into that hectic world lol, pity the author is going crazy but hey he's crazier. Seeing that it was hard for him to navigate the world shows just how smart our mc is.
Other than that, I'm really disappointed that I could only get crumbs of Killian's POV (like him being more active in the background without Edith knowing) and I'm so URGH
My headcannon is the best iteration of the novel for me

He's been acting more on feelings rather than giving it an actual thought, ever since he befriended Leila. While it is a nice quality at first, it's astounding that the quality also shows his lack of realism to the extent that he only thinks of his wants rather than their needs.
Life ain't gonna shine down a huge rainbow on them everyday, even Leila knows the struggles of having no solid ground (her having to move on from house to house, until she found a home with Uncle Remmer).
So what I'm saying is, I can't believe it, but the author perfectly encapsulated Kyle as this "green flag" character, yet also turned that "good" quality into his somewhat downfall.
I was team Kyle but now omg, girl just be single like none of these boys are worth the hassle
Yess my yuri set sail
