honestly I don’t rlly get the saying that “love is supposed to hurt” like it was never supposed to hurt in the first place. if love were truly the glorified version of what everyone says it is, ppl who r in love should never be hurt. love should never be the reason as to why you have to relentlessly sacrifice yourself, lose yourself in the process, suffer and having to relinquish everything that you’ve held dear or known. it’s not love anymore if you have to lose your identity if ‘love’ demands for it periyat
