Check out the BIL's face when he first sees SW! I'm telling you there's something weird there. I just don't see SW as a guy who is that weak either, and if you look at the movie club flashback, there's an intimate type of setting there as well. Plus, you can freaking tell he messed up those details about the movie on purpose.
There has to be something more to this. If he was that weak, he would have already transferred those feelings to Yuri. I think right now he's more attracted to Yuri and maybe curious as to why Yuri won't stop hanging around him at this point.
Then, again, the author could be throwing out red herrings, but I think something happened to spark this love that SW has for the BIL.
P.S. SW was so cute in the flashback to the movie club in chapter 14. Poor baby I want him to get better. :(

It could be possible the BIL exploited SW's feelings for him since he was "having a hard time" back then too as if he knew he liked him, and he flirted with him shamelessly which really messed with SW. It didn't seem to ruin their relationship at any point though, so why was SW hanging onto that feeling?

But now that we’re focusing on Jiri’s story we can finally see some of their history together (which will be seen in the next raw ch). Like is he just an innocent character who is Jiri’s unrequited love or is he something else lol

I agree with the bulk of your comment, and even that P'Chen might be lonely (although Tulip does lead a lonely life, especially with that brother), but I don't see him as pursuing Tulip. Indeed, it's been Tulip's relentless and, dare I say, aggressive pursuit of P'Chen which he has hithertofore tried his best to repulse. Of course I couldn't blame him for falling madly in love with her. She's sweet and charming with the added benefit of being very lovely.
I don't think it's a conscious effort on his part, and it's more he doesn't turn down the circumstances or fight too hard against them when they come his way. No, he's not pursuing her in the sense of outright doing it, but even his business partner senses something is there between them. The author is hinting to us that he does like her, but the age thing is why he is stuck, and Tulip has never been delusional about that aspect of their relationship.
You forget Tulip has already had a boyfriend and has friends, so how is she lonely? She doesn't look at him in that sense. She looks at him as he was kind to her, and she's attracted to him. Again, he is projecting his own loneliness onto her IMHO, and he is using that as an excuse to stay close to her in some sense to me.

No, I wasn't forgetting about Tulip and her social life. I should have been more specific. I was referring to her miserable home life with that asshole of a demanding and controlling sis-con brother.
They were super competitive, and he thought he wouldn't be able to measure up in bed, and that she would judge him for it. He wanted it to be perfect, and so it was performance anxiety pure and simple, but it's CLEAR he still has love for her considering the way he won't leave her alone. I ship them so hard already, but manga is a rough gig unless it's one of those quick ones.
I don't blame her for feeling horrible though. If that was your first time, and some guy said that to you that you probably loved (since preschool people, PRESCHOOL), it would be a blow to your self-esteem.
