I finally ordered all the first volumes of each MXTX books, but I have a really HOMOPHOBIC parents. I don't know what to told them when they see the novels, I think I will say it's a Chinese martial arts novel, no romance and stuff, but I'm not sure if it's enough to convince them that it's not a danmei, can you give me a better excuse to justify my purchases.

The Untamed is the live action, non- BL version of Mo dao zu shi (cus of censoring). Maybe play it off as the books being based on the show, instead of the other way around?

I can't translet it because I don't understand Chinese It was so sad and downright real and depressing in a way it is BL but the two characters can't be together the story takes place in the 1920s and 1949s the republic of china and well back then especially it must have been hard for people of the same sex to say to the person they liked them in the end sigh that's all I have to say read it the story is complete in Chinese just not in English yet but worth the read this is what I liked about Chinese comics especially BL as danmei . some stories are very much more on the realistic side of the spectrum not always a happy ending sometimes bitter sweet.
