My bf is like 10? years older than me and its big vibes. There is no weird power imbalance and im fully independent, ive been living by myself for many years and in a good place in my career even when I met him.
For such a huge age gap i do want to say to be VERY careful, just like any relationship what is important is whether hes a decent person......
