the story isn't been developed in which we see noble families or commoners against the queen like as far as they know, there's no reason to overthrow her & how many people are actually going to overthrow the queen over witchcraft that so far has no public proof? also the one person that was gonna testify against the queen got killed... + i believe that the queen has an evil spirit in her so even if ppl do kill her, the spirit can still do harm
also, the only shaman like person he's seen (from what i remember) would be that old guy who told him to stay away for jaeshin but offered no other advice about the ghosts or the queen
it's been shown that jaeshin is the best person to get of these ghosts so why wouldn't Nok, a HUMAN & his lover, rely on him?
tldr: yes he may cry a lot but he's valid to do

unfortunately nok is a human who’s been haunted by ghosts every night since he was young. he’s built a strong mind after these years, but not really a strong body to fend off malicious ghosts. the practice of messing w spirits is also looked down upon (ie. his mother was accused of being a witch iirc?), so i get why nok also wldn’t seek a shaman’s help or undergo spiritual training esp. since he’s a royalty.

if you dislike stories w a “weak” or “spineless” human uke against powerful beings, i reco going over some guideverse series instead of being a hater in here ^_^ a lot of tgn readers actually like nok.

Lol, just LOL. His mother sought shaman's help and got killed bc of that. Han Chaehui distributes posters saying he's a follower of the dark arts and bows to demonic idols. The moment he disclose he's seeing ghosts HE'S DONE (cause remember how closely he's watched). Get rid of the queen? Sure thing, he's trying to get proofs of her acting but she's not that dumb either. And what spiritual traning? It's not a Chinese fantasy world when they train their spiritual cores and use super skills.

This ghost was especially malicious so not-seeing-it wouldn't be enough. And anything that would've helped Nok, would also bring him down as the crown prince and most likely cost his life. That's why Jaeshin IS the one who can help him with ghosts. With dealing with the queen (like her human side) and other problems Nok takes part in it.

Lee Nok has been slandered as a loony since he was a child and his mother was condemned for using witch craft to "harm the prince" even tho it was actually to protect him from Chae-hee.

The only power he has is his title and a few loyal servants since his father struggles to even consider him a son let alone a prince.

Chae-hee has the whole court on her side, painting an image of a devout wife and caring mother to a sickly son who can barely move. People see her as an achiever and righteous queen.

Even if Lee Nok wanted to bring her down he couldn't unless he had undeniable proof that they couldn't refute. He's already tried once with the maehyoong, but they just planted false ones around her quarters to make it look like she was also a victim.

You've gotta be brain dead if you think Lee Nok can do any of this by himself. This isn't a fucking battle shounen where Lee Nok can take 40+ chapters to learn how to physically combat spirits. His best chance is to figure out how to appease them ((like the starving ghost)) and have the curse rebound on Chae-hee.
