I thought Sefal’s casual appearance looked a little too much like the masked titan that was with the goat merchant.

No he does not know. Dojae looks wholly different and even his roommate who was also there never recalled that detail.
Oh yeah, that's why this thing with the kid getting bullied got him jealous. Totally forgot about that lol.
