It's an amazing story but I couldn't help feel bad for the villainess like it's not really her fault at core. The duke sure is a good man and a good father to ml but not to her. Be it if she is his daughter or not he could not be their for her when she wanted him to be . It is obvious y she is like that. a cruel and bad behavior done to catch attention of her father became a habit of her. Not gonna lie if only she had someone who gave her attention she might not have become what she is now. Not her father not her brother everyone treated her as if she didn't exist Children who grow up in such atmosphere often turn out unruly. I seriously feel bad for her.

Bc they don't like /understand that she's not a strong willed badass FL that can make some good decisions for her life like ,e.g abandoning ML from the second something went wrong, and instead she's a wimp and a pushover. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Honestly, people act like a woman raised in such bad cirxumstances with so few options should still be a "girlboss" all the time, not taking into account how her experiences will affect her. It's deally common in rofan fans to be hypercritical of FLs for not being perfect in their eyes.
Right I said this before aswell . People want realism so they can relate to stories but when they get it somewhat like this they like to stick to the stereotyped plots.

I will be spoiling from ch80 till the side stories, let's gooo
Warnings before starting : ml is very manipulative, like VERY. His redemption arc is NOT satisfying (at least imo)
Spoiler: After fl ran away/3 years timeskip
• The last straw for fl was finding the divorce papers already with ml's signature, when he told her he had them ready just for fun she lost all hope and decided to leave
• What fl doesn't know is that while she was running away she dropped her engagement ring in the forest, someone probably found it and took it
• That person then died and was cremated, but bc the ring was found (it had the house symbol of ml's family) ml got called to take it back
• Everyone automatically thought the corpse that was found with the ring was fl, ml despairs bc realizes he loves fl but it's too late
• He tries to kill himself but is stopped by his butler oz, who was one of the few people who liked fl. He tries to convince him to investigate and make sure to find out if fl is alive or not
• Ml's mother gets exiled bc ml finds out she secretly gave fl contraceptives during the whole marriage while demeaning her for not being able to conceive (the audacity!!)
• It's not clear if bc of that contraceptives fl had a miscarriage, but thanks to this b fl was convinced of being barren and that she was not deserving of being the duchess
• After this ml has a big accident in which he gets a lot of broken bones, so he has to take a break in searching for fl. His accident is so big that it even makes it on the newspapers (also bc he is the highest ranking noble but yea)
• His health in general is not so good, his eyesight is also worsening bc of stress and overwork and he must wear thick glasses to be able to see
• This more or less is what happens during the arc of 3 years, there is a turning point when finally ml's aide tells him fl is alive and has been found
Spoiler: Ml finds fl and ruins her life again
• After knowing fl is alive ml is delighted but his thoughts are pretty dark, he thinks of fl as a possession, he HAS to get her back bc in his mind she belongs to him. Super scary thing he said to his aide when he got the news about locating fl : "i don't care if she's unhappy as long as she's by my side", and so he departs to the village where fl is
• During those 3 years fl found a nice village near the borders and opened a small teahouse, making tea was always her hobby and since she's really good she has a lot of clients even if the shop is a bit shabby
• Then we have the scene in which ml sees fl with another man and with a big belly, laughing happily. He thinks he never saw her smiling like that when she was at the dukedom but also gets so angry he barely hold back from shooting the man in the head
• He starts stalking her but while he's walking in the forest he sees the man that was previously with fl kissing another woman and he loses it. He beats him up with the intent of killing him but stops when he hears fl's voice begging him to stop
• Later they have a talk and fl explains leon (the guy who got beaten up) is not his lover but her friend's, he helped her by acting as her husband so that she could lie about being a poor pregnant lady and get a lower price for the teahouse rent. Ml also notices late that she doesn't have the big belly anymore and that she was never pregnant
• His thought are dark again bc until that moment he was angry that she got a lover and a baby soon to be born but he was fine with taking her away by force and raising another man's baby as long as he had fl in his grasp
• Now instead he is relieved it was a misunderstanding but thinks it'd be nice if he got her pregnant himself to trap her into being with him
• Fl is very firm in rejecting him, he actually calls himself her husband shamelessly and burns the divorce papers in front of her. Fl is very distressed bc her peace of 3 years has come to an end and ml is not leaving her alone, he comes to her teahouse everyday and orders always the same tea
• He observes how fl was always happier outside high society and nobles, she was more comfortable with commoners and bitterly admits that she really made a new life for herself in those 3 years. And so he starts plotting
• He opens a luxurious teahouse in the center of the village, selling tea for half the price so fl starts losing all her clients but she doesn't give up : she makes sandwiches to sell in the square. Ml wonders why she'd struggle this much when she could simply go back to him and live as a rich duchess, his plan was breaking the life she built so that she would end up with nothing but the choice of asking for his help
Spoiler: Tw attempted sa
• Fl still opens her teahouse everyday, but she gets 10 clients at best. One day she finds herself alone with hudson, the guy who rented the place to her
• He starts making advances at her, touching her and saying she could be with him and solve her rent problems. When he rips her clothes and gets violent, fl fights back and screams for help
• Who arrives to save her? Ml, yayy
• He was there bc he was wondering why fl hadn't come to him yet even if her business was on the verge of closing, so he thought to have another talk but instead found her being assaulted. He almost shoot hudson but fl threw herself between them (WHY THO LET TRASH TAKE OUT OTHER TRASH)
• Fl then goes to her room to change from her ripped clothes, but then she gets assaulted AGAIN by ml who had followed her
• He pushes her to bed and almost r@pes her, he's thinking again about baby trapping her and is somehow sure she still has feelings for him so this is ok disgusting pig
• He stops only when fl tells him he's the worst, then he realizes she's crying and trembling in fear. He leaves in a daze and doesn't come back for a while (but is still plotting)
Spoiler: Ml throwing a pity party for himself
• Ml's next plan is being gentle and guiltripping fl (YEA HE IS WORSE THAN TRASH). How? He arranges a meeting with his butler oz and the deacon, the only 2 people who were friendly with fl when she still was a duchess
• This way she finds out ml : tried to kill himself when thought she was gone, had a big accident, is losing his eyesight, exiled his mother. It's a very subtle brainwashing bc ml told oz to tell fl everything if she asked but to not reveal why he exiled his mother. Why? Bc if fl knew what she had done it would have been another reason to not come back and maybe she would also think ml wanted her back bc she wasn't actually barren
• Sadly fl falls for it and is very moved by how ml suffered bc of her, she starts missing him and when he comes back a few days later they have another talk. She treats him more gently and even serves him tea that's good for eyesight....
• Ml tries to give her the propriety of his teahouse (as a 'bribe') but fl refuses and is offended bc she worked hard to open her jade teahouse, the name specially important to her. Ml tries to convince her but she replies she will accept the teahouse only as an asset in case of divorce LMAO
• Actually ml has new divorce papers prepared bc he's sure fl won't be able to sign them after all the guiltripping and the kindness he showed lately. At the moment of signing he is very satisfied fl couldn't do it on the spot but asked for some time to think NOOO GIRL I WAS CHEERING FOR YOU TO SIGN THOSE PAPERS
• Ml's last move is leaving for some time, trying to make it look like he agreed to give fl space to think but actually he is internally giggling bc he wants her to miss him so badly she'll feel like he felt when she disappeared. While his carriage is leaving he looks back at fl who was still looking towards him and he is happy fl seems sad istg he's a sadist
Spoiler: Fl disappears again? + the reconciliation
• Ml leaves for the capital bc the annoying prince can't do sht without him, actually being the real decision maker behind the future king has always been his goal, but now that it's interfering with him getting back with fl he's annoyed and doesn't really want to help
• While he's away he leaves his aide william to monitor fl bc he apparently be has trauma from fl disappearing and wants to know if she misses him, it's all good until william notifies him fl suddenly disappeared when he fell asleep after days of spying her 24/7
• Ml runs back to the village and breaks into fl's teahouse, everything is untouched and he fears she's been kidnapped. In the carriage he took one of his pills for his headaches that make him fall asleep but he was so worried about fl that it didn't work, now that he's in her room he falls asleep as soon as he lies on her bed
• Meanwhile fl was on a shelter with other villagers bc there was going to be a huge rainfall and her teahouse was predicted to be submerged bc of a flood. She suddenly feels something isn't right and goes back by horse, finding ml at her door under the rain
• After a nap ml suddenly realizes he did it all wrong, he was arrogant from the moment he knew fl was alive and forgot how devastating was the pain of not knowing if she was alive or where she was. He should have begged from the start, told her he loves her and that he was sorry but instead acted like an arrogant jerk, he even almost committed the worst crime towards her...YUP we love some self awareness
• There's some introspection bc he has been taught that since he's high nobility nobody is deserving of him and that expressing feelings is for the weaks, but since he's found fl again he saw how beautiful she became bc she could finally openly show all her emotions. He realizes the truth is the opposite of what he always believed : people who shows feelings are stronger, no wonder fl managed to start a new life while he was in the capital suffering
• Fl invites ml inside, they're both drenched so she offers some dry clothes. Ml is suddenly jealous bc why does she have men clothes? Fl lies they were of a guy who helped reparing the teahouse but actually she purposely had those clothes ready for her fakenact of being married and pregnant
• Ml then apologizes and confesses, it's very sudden and anticlimactic imo but fl 'melts' as soon as she hears "I love you", the words she always wanted to hear from ml and so she forgives him instantly. They end up having snu all night
Spoiler: Fl's revealing her secret
• From this point it gets a bit boring bc ml does a whole 180 and seems almost like another person. He's very attentive and kind etc though now that he and fl reconciled there's the question of when they should go back to the capital, since he is the duke and the annoying prince is pestering him to do his job
• Fl seems a bit reluctant and one day ml finds her talking with francis (idk much bc he appeared in the first half of the novel but he was the closest character to being a 2ml, fl actually never had any romantic feelings for him). He overhears them talking about something fl has hidden from ml, and i don't want to praise him too much but he thinks that if before he would have shot francis on the spot, now he cares more about solving whatever secret/misunderstanding he has with fl... good for him ig
• Francis leaves and fl gives ml an address, saying it's the house where she lived for the 3 years after escaping from him. When ml arrives, he's surprised it's a little house not too far from his dukedom, at the door an old lady called luiza welcomes him to come inside
• She reveals fl lived with her and her husband, but she started working when the husband died bc she didn't want luiza to work at her old age. Then she leaves the room and soon after a child comes to him with a glass of water (luiza called him purposely so they could meet)
• Ml finds out this way he has a son, he immediately knows bc he is the exact copy of him as a child. He is very smart, talks well and tbh it felt a bit weird for a 3 years old kid to behave like he's around 10 maybe author did a mistake with the timeline idk
• Ml asks for his name and the kid answers it's jade! Ml now knows why the teahouse was called like that and is ashamed he once thought of destroying it to bring fl back and even wondered if it was named after a man
• When ml goes back to fl he is surprised to see her apologize and cry, she felt guilty for hiding the child but he felt more guilty bc he knew that if she didn't run away jade would probably would have died bc of the contraceptives his mother gave to fl
• He calms her down and assures her that he never liked kids but it was different with jade, he can't wait to go back and show everyone his son. Once he even dreamed of having a family with fl when he saw the useless prince doting on his daughter and almost beated him up when he suggested on remarrying if he wanted a kid too
• All 3 go back to the capital when the annoying prince starts pestering him, even bringing up marriage between jade and his daughter to have ml tied up with him. Ml then gets mad and agrees to go back on the condition he stops any marriage talk with his precious son
• Ml actually doesn't care anymore and wants to resign from all his positions at the palace to dedicate himself to fl and jade 24/7 but in the end he's kinda forced to keep his job otherwise the empire will crumble
• Main story ends with ml proposing again to fl, he took her to red mill square (the place where fl met ml for the first time and she fell in love at first sight) which with time it was demolished to give space to luxurious brand shops. Ml ordered to have the square built like in the past and having it surrounded with both normal and luxurious shops, so that nobles and commoners finally had a space in which they met without feeling any gap, which was fl's secret wish

• Fl gets pregnant again, both her and ml wonder how bc they have been using contraceptives. Ml was actually very scared bc he heard from luiza how hard was for fl during her pregnancy so he was set on not having any more kids
• Jade on the contrary started going to the academy and saw other kids having siblings so he wished to have one too
• When fl revealed she was pregnant jade already picked hazel as a name bc he was 100% sure he would get a little sister. Ml was actually overjoyed and was set on doting on fl since he couldn't do it the first time
• It gets particularly hard when luiza explains about all the back/feet pains and fl also starts having strong morning sickness, she can only eat grapes and ml goes crazy bc they're in the middle of winter and grapes can't be found anywhere
• Fl is surprised about how doting he became and ends up teasing him a bit, making a lot of food requests. Ml often has to leave in the middle of the night to find the food fl requested
• There is a bit of drama bc both of them are h0rny but fl thinks ml doesn't want to do it bc her body changed and he doesn't find her attractive anymore, while ml is holding back bc he doesn't want to hurt fl. All ends well with them having snu
• Ml's mother suddenly visits him at work bc she heard he has a son and talks about heirs and legacy, ml wonders if fl felt the same as what he's feeling now when she heard him saying the same things in the past and is disgusted
• Ml thinks about telling fl the truth about his mother bc she never got to know she was fed contraceptives, she thought of her mother in law as a stern but good person who cared about her enough to give medicine good for her body
• He realizes timing isn't right bc fl is in the late stages of the pregnancy, and soon enough she goes into labor and their second son alexis is born
• It's kinda funny bc ml gets a bit traumatized by fl giving birth, she was in pain and screaming for hours but she told him this was nothing like when she had given birth to jade. Ml is terrified bc he can't imagine fl being in more pain than this and vows there won't be a third child
• Fl was worried bc jade wished for a sister but got a brother instead, in the end jade is unbothered and is super happy to have a sibling. Ml instead acts a bit distant with alex and both fl and jade notice, jade wonders how someone could ignore his lovely baby brother but is sure his dad won't be able to resist and hopes to see him love alex as much as he loves him
• Fl purposely leaves ml alone with alex so that he is forced to take care of him, turns out ml was just awkward and didn't know how to deal with a newborn baby. When alex starts crying he clumsily feeds him and puts him to sleep, copying the actions of fl and the nanny. From that moment he starts doting on alex to the point the baby looks for him before fl
• Last chapter fl got to know what her mother in law did to her and decides to meet at ml's teahouse. Mother in law taunts her saying she looks better than before and resembles rosaline (ml's ex fiancée), fl calmly thanks her and replies she's honored bc rosaline is a duchess and also the rose of high society. Mother in law has no choice but admit fl has changed and she bested her this time
• Fl then calls oz to come inside, with him there are jade and alexis. Mother in law was surprised bc they look like ml and she has no chance of accusing fl of having them from another man, she tries touching them but both stiffen as she comes closer lmao smart kids they sensed an evil witch
• Fl tells oz to bring them outside again and mother in law asks fl if she's happy now that she saw her grandkids hating her. Fl says that wasn't the reason why she showed her the kids, but to make her reflect about how such lovely kids would never have been born if she had kept living with her and her punishment is not them hating their grandmother but that she would not be able to be part of their family
• Fl leaves and mother in law watches as she walks away with the kids, suddenly regretting how she always did everything for wealth, honor and legacy but now lost something that was way more precious/ END

First of all she was never raised as a noble second of all she does not have anyone's support or motivation and unlike how those transmigration manhwas show where fl magically learns grace and etiquette perfectly is just a load of crap even 5 years are not enough to learn that and their's a difference between doing it since small and doing it when u r adult .girl has to change the way she is programmed to fit in society. And their are people like her who don't like interacting with people basically I liked the fact that unlike how the fl are always shown to be such extroverts we can see an introvert who wants to do better by all odds even if it is a way which is normal and not a big deal to her but is to those nobles. This is fucking disgusting. Could not read further than 8 chs wanted to hold on for og fl because got the vibes that she turned back time so her mom could have a happy life .but just couldn't. Like seriously this fl from top to bottom ,I can tell at least 10 Mangas/manhwa where their fl's character sketch is the same with this one .I would say the first sister would have been a better character sketch for fl she is god damn beautiful,gives cold calm collected women vibes even the supposed to be empress has more personality than fl not to mention ml actually wanted fl's eldest sister. these ladies are drop dead gorgeous. Not to mention the reason I was disgusted is that he was gonna have a harem of women and I fucking hate that doesn't matter if the ml didn't do that later in the story just the plot makes me repulsed.
