I shouldn't have stopped my work to read this and now I'm sitting here just crying. Oh, Harsen, you foolish foolish man. He keeps thinking about it and expecting his wife to open up about her feelings but he doesn't even think about approaching her first, about opening up his heart first. He was so afraid that he pushed her further into her depression. Why doesn't he still not realize that she has no support but him left? The fact that she is trying and making an effort now, even though he is still standing at the same place unmoving seems not to register within his brain. This, just looks like it will end in tragedy. It's so well written it's breaking my heart.
Now that I've read the new chapter, the crown prince doesn't seem to be too gifted in the brains dept, to put it nicely that is.

I did read the novel as well as the spoilers somewhere, some time ago and I feel like I kinda liked it but one thing that saddens is the amount of kindness and respect she has always shown the duke and yet that mofo doesn't even have the basic decency to show her the respect she deserves. She really doesn't deserve all the hate they were throwing at her, she didn't come willingly. He literally married her for money so I really don't know why he acting so haughty for. Despite how they treat her, she is like a queen, her temperament is above them all.

i stopped reading the novel in the early chapters bc I remember getting so upset at how she was mistreated. From what I remember the manga kind of glosses over how she was disgraced in society. But in the novel after hearing how she was harassed/assaulted, men would show up ask to be engaged, she would say no, then they would get mad, harass her and spread rumours about her to sully her name.
And she is so patient and kind but there are so many people who mistreat her. I like the carriage kid bc he became kind early on but everyone else vilifies her WAYYYYY too much. If they had more than half a brain cell they could ask anyone who worked for her and those people would have hundreds of good things to say. And that would hold A LOT more truth then people who met her once for very little time.
EXACTLYYY!!! She's so nice and patient despite what happened, I'd honestly be so fed up with this family and drop them. The condescending and obnoxious characters are most especially annoying. She'll definitely become a great person. Hopefully rather than keeping her skills hidden she becomes more recognized, like I'm so tired of this entire duke residence looking down on her. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
