I get it, yeah the brother and friend are funny but you can tell theyre not helping theyre just freaking out someone with an avoidant personality and we know how thats ends
let's be real here, the mc was gonna run away wiyh the child and face a bunch of consequences unless they spoke to him that way. for a person like that a slap in the face to bring them back to reality may look harsh but helps in the long run
I think they are really helping him cause if they dont speak to him, mc and the ml will have more misunderstanding in the future making the story complicated. Plus the mc lacks emotional quotient so them being the mc's guide is really helpful.
The way they are treating the situation isn't gonna stop him from running it's more motivation to go
