15 endure the unbearable beginning, it gets better although i could really do without some really stupid cray cray - i might give it a few chapters …or not ?
I can’t say it’s original, but the talk about unwanted pregnancy, pregnancy out of wedlock, the burden on women, the lack of solidarity and mean judgment on by the women tribe is spot on, and the theme is lightly, but thoroughly explored at this point
This is so rare, that i am thoroughly disappointed by a few ridiculous miscommunication (it will pass) , but the vile antagonists are still bringing out a stupid bad smell that definitely doesn’t add anything to the story

4 chapters and I’m already so pissed with the number of misunderstandings / half lies added to the pot
The girl like the guy who saved her in the past
The guy, who accepted to marry her, doesn’t like her, but will « « try »
Being drunk, she goes on following her hormones and In a fit of rage and despair she sleeps with another guy
… who happens to be the one who truly saved her
Now that guy seems to really like her for real, and has probably been liking her since he saved her, but tells her he doesn’t care for anything serious
…because her drank sekf told her that didn’t want anything serious
Now she wants a husband, thinks he’s trash when he’s the savior she’s been dreaming of and the father of her baby
Of course it could have been simple :/
It’s not like building a relationship doesn’t have anything interesting to tell (marmalade boy was a good example) the pregnancy or child rearing does have quite a few challenges yoo .pregnancy in a Young relationship definitely will bring a few challenges too.
But miscommunication will go on for a while, even if thankfully the child things is out, she still believes he’s only with her out of a sense of duty

6 and here comes the evil friend
Obviously the background story of the two girls doesn’t help, one is a cherished aristocrat, the other is the pretty daughter of an abandoned woman, an « illegitimate child » (that kind of expression should never exist)
When one has everything she ever desired in front of her, she is oblivious to the fact her « friend » has no prospect and can only know how unfair the world is to her (that’s my reading)
The book however makes a total hypocrite and a deranged woman out of her, having the ambition to ruin the love life of the girl she must have envied to death. So in the end, hatred and resentment of her mother situation are made more important than the sacrifices made for her sake. Revenge is a powerful and destructive drive, and it seems strangely redirected on the noble daughter of her helper : does she believe she’s the half sister of that little princess ? (Yes she does cf c15)
In any case, it is obvious that friendship would have a hard time existing, the two girls don’t stand on the same ground.while the other is blissfully unaware of the reality and hardships of her playmate, never questioning the class system that is also as absurd as can be.
I would hope the writer does something for that pathetic character, so that she doesn’t end up being a villain or a crazy person, sacrificed for the plot
Bad female relationship and their representation are another tiresome trope
And again, miscommunication is the key to this evil : why did the girl never ask her mother if the good friend who helped them was indeed her dad : she had several way to check the truth but instead piled on frustration, grew a grudge that will not only sabotage her life, but also destroy the future of an idiotic suitor that she constantly abused for her ploy (doesn’t make him any better, still…)

Strangely the author herself vilify fake friendship and judgemental gossips in the 15th chapter, but still fails to show a healthy alternative. (We can also think ou MC might have shared the same evil gossips had she not br in the same situation herself)

(All around) The bad « ex love interest « 
That one is the ultimate crazy, and to me, it kind of ruins the good thing (difficult subject of women and pregnancy, from the bad friend who’s a victim, to the MC and an ostracized woman in c13)
The bad friend has some real big reasons to her bitterness
Even if she misplaced her anger we can at least empathize a bit (not much)
Honestly it would work better if the character were big teenagers, because even if the brain is unfinished, you’d expect 22 years old of that time to be a bit more grounded
But the bad love interest is truly a sorry piece of work : he doesn’t make sense at zll.
He like the bad friend, ok, but he obviously had a friendship with both girls for ten year. He also has a rather mild personality and much of a doormat docility seeing how badly he’s been abused gor years
Honestly is the bad friend a drug dealer , the guy has a nice face, a nice situation, lots of possibilities : why would he be fixated on a crazy bitch who mistreat and manipulate him for years ?
And then he suddenly turns quasi evil, ruins himself socially, get half thrown away onece more, and he doesn’t get up ? He grows more evil ?
Honestly it’s pathetic

It brings nothing to the story, makes no sense and just feels really bad
It feels like higschool drama - a very bad one at that -

Same old , this time a girl with past lives.
Again the village girl is the descendant of an emperor ( duh), and of course, the slave boy is an aristocrat
It could have been nice but the way she dumped the guy she married for convenience is pure evil : after all, he has an obvious background of abuse, but she doesn’t listen to him at all. He just has to do as she says.
Then again, he is described as lacking emotions (still another ridiculous trope : no emotions means no abilities to decide of anything)
The way is shown looks more like he’s weak in the empathy / sympathy department, but he obviously heals a lot with her
Compared to that, even if bullied, she at least had a supportive family, yet she obviously seems to be lacking as much in the empathy /sympathy department, only instead of a real handicap from birth and a terrible childhood, it just pure selfishness that drives her.
There’s a saying about not picking strays if you plan to abandon them, but obviously even understanding that much is not meant to happen
When she comes to know he’s becoming crazy (because of her abandonment) she also feels no sense of responsibility and has no desire to help
And that ruins it for me

Lastly, the more it goes, the more people of the same past time line get entangled, the less it feels like they are their own person
It’s not pleasant either, you’re bombarded with past life experiences and trauma, as if one life worth of experience was not enough to build a nice background
Not only doesn’t it had anything to the characters, it contributes to make them weird : they pop up knowledge , relationships, abilities out of nowhere and it is disconnected to the present : once again, you have characters who border on feelings like tourists in their own lives. The feel alienated
The fact that the MC is also so disconnected from proper sympathy towards someone she lived with for months certainly doesn’t help.

It’s nice the guy who understands everything is also very limited in his output that gives him balance
I also appreciate the non violent interactions of the children, the school which chooses to adapt education to the children instead of breaking them into conformity
It starts with lots of hard things, but there are always so many good people it feels kind of refreshing compared to the sum of toxic families, friendship betrayals, bullying that have become the very sad norm of many backgrounds
You don’t escape the parents death, but even in his bad orphanage, there are people watching over each other’s
Lastly i found it fun it became something of an exception that the MC is neither reincarnated, reborn, time turning, etc
Although vision from the future could also be time turning symptoms, the MC never.behaves like his living in a story or lose sight of his current and present life
That being said, he’s definitely a bit socially awkward, but who wouldn’t with is background ?

25 - man, what’s wrong with these writers ?!
How nice the MC is not a psycho : she didn’t let the boy go through hell on the pretext he needs it to become stronger and fit his role (no freedom obey your fate?
Ho bad, the MC still is a psycho she plays perfect family, save the boy from a miserable childhood, but plan to abandon him and expect him to kill her as part of his way to « happy ending «  ? !?
Who doesn’t get happy vibes from killing your benefactor nowadays, neh ?

The MC is semi smart
Obviously, she also have a strong case of the « i read the novel » disease
It’s fun and cute so far, albeit predictable and truly not original one bit
