ummm this chapter fed the readers wayyyyy too much info lmao in the novel present hyunjae is overtaken by his future self and falls into disassociation but it's not overly clear how much awareness he has of the future or even how much time has passed. which adds to his confusion and fuels the subdued violent impulses he has towards yoojin. also, i feel like there's some other arc that should come before this but i can't remember hehe.

the pacing in this manga is fucking terrible. the author just jumps from plot to plot without giving us any fucking clue. not to mention there's like a hundred couples aside from the main couple they want us to keep track of so they can half ass the main storyline. just plainly irritating.

The seemingly parallels between haejoon and eunyung slowly turning into differences.... haejoon was loved till the very end, while eunyung is still looking for love and acceptance

i don't hate the dad but it's crazy how he took advantage of euihyun's situation time and time again. And in a way he is responsible for leaving his baby with a highly abusive man in a barely holding household and then coming back without even gauging the situation properly and taking euiyoung away. if we go back to chapter one, in a situation where taeju is not involved or doesn't make it in time, euihyun in a moment of despair would've drowned with euiyoung. idk. I'm not really supportive of parents who leave their children behind despite knowing they're not safe. without euihyun there, who knows what their father would've done to euiyoung, and despite knowing that the dad just chose to ignore all that and leave, so what taeju said to him a lot of sense to me. he took advantage of euihyun's goodwill by making him responsible for a baby when he was barely an adult, and he took advantage of him again now when he cornered euihyun knowing that despite his own feelings he'd always put euiyoung first. that's kinda fucked up lol

it's not just because they're partners that hazuki is entitled to be in every crook and cranny of naoto's life, he's allowed to keep secrets and he's allowed to have other people than hazuki and the children as priority. Also naoto is not "too trustful" he's a kind and gentle person who got over what happened to him and chose to still see good in people, because he knows the reason he was raped wasn't because of something as fickle as being "too trusting" and if he ever came to be raped again that wouldn't be the reason either, what happened to him is the result of a society based on violent prejudices and of people's own internal malicious intent.
