So, at the beginning I was complaining by how different the whole kidnapping and search part was from the novel. I am still not completely satisfied with that, I wanted it to be dragged a bit more, since it felt rushed.
However, I do like the changes that are being made regarding Cliff and Reese, and the whole Edith thing. I feel like the novel was just too carefree with the punishment Cliff and Reese deserved for everything they did. I love how the duke and duchess are awake now and are taking measures to really punish Cliff, by striping him from his title as heir. And I also like how they are so disappointed and mad at Reese. In the novel, the ending happened quite fast and everyone seemed to have forgotten that Reese and Cliff tried to kill Edith multiple times.
I also like the whole closure the author is giving to the original Edith and the reason why our Edith was summoned. The novel does not even give us a good reason as to why this whole thing happened and we don’t get any information regarding the original Edith and what happened to her, so it’s nice to see this closure.
I’m still curious as to why Edith was the only one “awake” and the only one who could summon people to that world tho, but I’m happy with what they are giving us.
I’m a bit excited to keep on reading and seeing the new changes made to the story.

As a lot of people are saying, this feels too rushed. In the novel, she was so beaten up, she could barely walk. She was hiding her face with some kind of scarf because of how beaten up she was and she actually spent days and days going to the train station trying to leave, but being unable to because of her feelings for Killian. She didn’t just walk to the knights, the knights found her sitting on a bench in the train station but couldn’t really recognize her because of how badly injured was her face. I understand they have to tone it down maybe, but her being completely unharmed makes the plot lose a bit of sense, since her wounded face was actually what made everyone realized that she wasn’t working with her family but actually suffered the most because of them.
We had like 10 chapters of the novel being dedicated to her feelings and her struggles, and Killian searching for her desperately. I was excited to see how they would portray all that but ended up being a bit disappointed by how this is going…
