Bc dark skinned ethinicities tend to have fuller lips and this is a manhwa/comic. In that style (non-realistic or cartoon style etc.) of story telling you typically have to exxagerate some features or expressions so they dont all look the same. Its gives the characters a literal character (personality or depth). Also by doing this you're able to tell that he isnt just a dark skinned asian specifically bc of the prominent feature. (As an artist/illustrator, i hoped i explained that well. XD)
