The one ML is so blinded with rage and the idea of revenge that’s he’s not willing to listen to anything the other ML says. Even when the whole situation is a big misunderstanding. He is also just putting the other ML through the same trauma he personally experienced, but over and over again, which is just unspeakable.
This is a great example of how yaoi mangas have started to romanticize assault, abuse, slavery, etc. and it is disgusting to see. Authors need to do better.

First off, I’ve seen a lot of comments talking about the one “rape scene” that happened in one of the beginning chapters between the Duke and Dev. I don’t personally feel like this was necessary. I think there could’ve been a better way to introduce their romantic relationship than forcing the Duke. Although, I do think this scene shows Dev’s desperation to find and help his family. This scene was also done in my opinion “correctly” or the most correctly you could do a rape scene. I’ve read tons of other rape and abuse scenes in other mangas that almost fantasize the act, which in my opinion is just gross. And in many of those mangas no one says anything in the comments, but in this case, where it’s done in desperation, not to over-power, or fantasized it, it’s frowned upon. Secondly, is the whole slavery thing. I think this author does a great job of showing what romantic relationships could be like in this difficult dynamic (of servant and master) and I feel as though it’s done beautifully without being, once again fantasized. Although, these relationships might not be totally realistic.
Ultimately, I think the author did a great job and it’s an extremely beautifully, touching, piece.

Okay, I’ve seen some comments talking about how racist and disgusting this manga is, but I don’t think people quite understand fully. Yes, there are some racist side characters that do come up in a couple chapters, that doesn’t mean this manga is focused on race and or has some hidden agenda. It’s just part of the storyline. Race is something that makes you who you are, and for some, it may be more important to your identity than others. This makes it something that comes up in daily life. I personally think this author just wanted to give a reason (racism in this case) to why these guys would attack our MC. There was no hidden agenda for this. It really just added reasoning and drama to the story. And yes, this is a disgusting thing to read about, but sadly it’s nothing new. There are tons of things that you read about daily that are not necessarily good or happy things. Things that are controversial and are hard to talk about, but are important to talk about, as it helps with education and eventually solutions. So ultimately this manga is not about race. Yes, it comes up in like two or three chapters with some side characters, but that’s it and all it was.

There is so much to say about this manhwa. First off the story has an interesting concept of master x student. Which by itself is already kind of strange, but in this storyline the master actually raises the student from childhood, which in my opinion just adds to the strangeness. Plus the master also happens to be much older because he is a blood demon, which is also strange. The student almost sees his master as a fatherly figure all his life until he romantically falls in love with him. It just is a very strange relationship dynamic. Then there’s the fact that the master tried to kill their unborn child because he was scared for his students safety. Like I understand being scared about your loved one, but it’s really not only his decision. He should have discussed it with his student first and explained all their options and then shared his own opinion. It’s his students body firstly, so that should be his decision only, and the child’s life should be decided between them both, not just him. I ultimately think that the biggest flaw in their relationship is that they don’t talk to each other about anything. They have horrible communication skills. The author always explains their thoughts on everything that happens, but they never actually talk to each other about any of it, and just talking would have solved all their problems. This is why the whole thing is just frustrating. If they were just truthful about their feelings then the student would’ve never went back home, and then he would’ve never left his master, and then the master would’ve never forcefully impregnated him, there are just so many things that just wouldn’t have happened if they just talked.
Ps sorry this was so long. If you got this far, thanks for reading my rant. (● ̄(エ) ̄●)

I really appreciate the author for this one. A lot of creators fantasize rape in the fact that it happens and the two ML’s forgive one another, and still end up together, which is just unrealistic. I find it interesting that this author decided to bring up the topic of rape differently without fantasizing it. The one ML cares so much for the other that he is willing to wait and push through his mental issues to keep from hurting his partner (like raping him). I think this is a great sentiment and shows how much he’s willing to work for this relationship and get better mentally. Hopefully, it stays this way in future chapters.
I thought the main character was a girl ╥﹏╥
Is this manhwa on a hiatus??
I’m not sure, but it hasn’t been uploaded here since August of 2023. Maybe try checking out other websites to see, or look up the author and check their socials.
I checked, and apparently it's on hiatus even on webtoon
