I think readers are getting used to seeing characters being abused, raped, mistreated, etc and don’t know what to think anymore when they see normal. These characters are realistic. Their actions, emotions, thoughts, etc are understandable and are within a certain degree. They aren’t over exaggerated to create drama, or suspense, or to even be surprising. This is a realistic story with realistic characters. So, if you’re finding it boring, that’s why. Maybe try something else. I for one, found it to be refreshing and unique. You don’t see a lot of male leads communicate right away when they notice something amiss, especially in boy love stories. I wish we could see more like this.

There seems to be a lot of people in the comments that don’t understand the male leads actions. Specifically, him not telling his feelings because he doesn’t want to date the person he likes. I think most are confused about this because they haven’t personally felt this way before. And because I have, I understand and connect with the male lead. To me it makes sense. Someone can like another person but not want to date them, and this can be the case for many reasons. Like maybe they just don’t like the same things, they’re too different, maybe they think it won’t work out, or turn into something more, maybe they are afraid of rejection, maybe they simply aren’t interested in dating, etc. The male lead doesn’t exactly say why he doesn’t want to date, but there are many possibilities.

Additionally, Seungjoo made very clear he doesnt believe a relationship between him and Muheun could even work out because of his job. A big part of the earlier chapters established that Seungjoo was always waiting for Muheun and feeling abandoned - hes protecting himself by not acting up on these feelings. Did people just forget about that? TT

I'm here from the novel and am dropping this. He started having feelings for Sungjoo when he was 25 (sungjoo was 15) and in the novel Muhunen gives off mega creeper pedo vibes in how he goes back to when he'd kiss Sungjoo as a baby when theyre doing it as adults. Muhuen is head over heels for the dude and just "keeps his distance" under the guise of supposedly knowing its wrong to think of Sungjoo that way despite consistently thinking of him that way and not actually putting any real effort into distancing himself or trying to not consistently think of Sungjoo as a baby while also still treating him like one
Where’s chapter 123? It goes 122 to 124.
