Even after a year I keep coming back to this manhwa and something still doesn't feel right.
I am COMPLETELY on Kangjun's side, because he genuinely loves Subin and their relationship is healthy...but the lack of chemistry throws me off. It's realistic that the two got together, but I don't understand what they love about each other per say.
With Hyunwoo, I can see why Subin was hung up on him. The two had history and there's a subtle chemistry there. But with Kangjun, their relationship feels lackluster and boring at times. It's SO FRUSTRATING because if Reck showed their chemistry more, it'd be perfect.
That said, at least Subin finds happiness in the end.
IKR something no matter what just doesnt sit right. Are they even happy for real. Why did Hyunwoo show up again omg. I can see how much Subin grew up but like the way he acts with Kangjun is just not what i can see as love love. And that pains me. Its some kinda of comfortable love, but no passion... and like you said i hope they are all happy!
I agree with you that they both provide each other something in the relationship :) I just don't like that it is contrasted with Subin's feelings for Hyunwoo. With Hyunwoo, Reck shows Subin more animated, passionate, and much more expression. But with Kangjun, Subin seems to lack personality and become apathetic. I find their exchanges to be run-of-the-mill rather than interactions characteristic of a couple. Maybe that's just me, but I can't shake the feeling off , even though I'm glad they ended up together.
I might get a lot of crap for this, but does anyone think it's weird that DG and Jiwon are "in love?"
The two didn't do anything that would develop their love for each, besides sex and that one time they went on a date. The drama of Jiwon hurting DG's feelings and DG giving up on him, is what fueled their relationship and eventually led to them dating. Not love.
Jiwon only wanted DG back because he feels lost without his obsessed fan, not because he "loves" him. When Chanwoo asked Jiwon what he loved about DG, the reasons he came up with sounded like a cop out to me.
DG too was only fascinated by Jiwon's looks and his body since the beginning of the manhwa. Jiwon was rude to him most of the time, so it's not like DG loves him for his personality.
The manhwa might have 60+ chapters but the development of their relationship is still unrealistic.
Uhm...it's not that serious. If you enjoy reading stories without realistic plot lines then that's fine. I and many others wanted Jiwon and DG to fall in love in a more realistic way. That's all.
Obviously mangas have some unrealistic components. I know that guys don't moan that sexy in real life. I know girls would get caught at a private boys' school. I know that a loner who takes off his glasses can't instantaneously become hot. I'm not a dumbass. It's just if you're writing a ROMANCE manga, the romance should be the ONE component that is written properly. Reality check -- you can be imaginative with a story and still leave in realistic components. In fact, the best stories have both.
You should not be this bothered by the fact that someone else isn't enjoying a manga as much as you are.
With all this craziness going on, can we appreciate how smart Seungbae was though? Dude got stabbed, hit with a metal bat, repeatedly punched, and poured on with BOILING water and yet he was still in the right mind to notice the stove was on. I'd probably just cry and piss my pants let alone be smart enough to use the cigarette lighter.
*SPOILERS*
This is a quick summary of the Valentine's Day special for Caste Heaven (I believe it is somewhere between chapters 20-25 but not sure).
The story takes place when Azusa was still king. It is Valentine's day and he has a lot of chocolates. His subordinates leave the room, and he decides to take a nap.
Azusa starts dreaming that Karino is in the room with a chocolate cake, and seductively feeds Azusa the cake. Azusa is licking Karino's finger, and chocolate gets on his face, neck, body. Karino says something like "look at the mess you made" and proceeds to LICK AZUSA'S BODY AND FACE ALL OVER to get rid of the chocolate. Azusa is enjoying it, blushing very hard and trembles while Karino has a sly expression.
Azusa suddenly wakes up to see a regular, non-sly Karino has entered the room saying, smiling offering Azusa more chocolates he collected from Azusa's fans. Azusa blushes hard and runs out of the room. As he runs away, Karino yells saying, "Wait Azusa, you have some chocolate on your sleeves," which confuses Azusa. Karino is seen smirking and with a sly expression.
The "chocolate on sleeves" part suggests that Azusa wasn't dreaming and that Karino really DID feed him chocolate and lick his body while he was drowsy, and that he enjoyed it.
This just proves to me Karino deadass has been wanting to bang Azusa from the get go ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
You even made the summary erotic (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ thanks dude
