I'll never understand bad manhwa fathers being portrayed as pitiful and being forgiven like this. Like, the facts and his narrative don't line up.
So FL's father says he never abandoned her mom, and loved her, and looked for her for the past 10 years...
AND YET he has another daughter the exact same age as her. He got TWO women pregnant in the SAME year.
So, you loved and looked for her mom, whilst having relations and a legitimate marriage with another woman.
Tbh if this is the case, then the redhead stepmom was in the right for discarding the letters sent by FL's mom, cuz as the legal wife, if she wants to throw away letters sent to her husband that say "I want to get back together" from another woman, she can.
If the father was actually sincere to either women, he would've decided on ONE, not trying to juggle his relations with both.

He didn't know she was pregnant. It's actually pretty impressive that he spent 10 years looking for a woman he thought abandoned him. And he was forced into that marriage because that was the only way they were going to let him out of exile. He was heartbroken and isolated in life where he had no real power. What could you have done in his shoes?

"In such times, inconspicuousness is paramount, yet... the approval must be procured..." Who translated this?? The vocabulary being used for the dialogue is kinda annoying. The translation is overdone. I can't enjoy what they're supposed to be saying.
Like, I get that they're in medieval times or whatever, but it's not even the readable and fun kind like in "A Master, Who Woke Up As A Concubine".
(EDIT: On the second half of the chapter, it goes back to normal, so whoever's translating normally, STAY).
(EDIT 2: Okay now the translation just has wrong grammar everywhere. But honestly still more bearable than ye olde medieval. Just a different translator each chapter.)

And the old hag blames her son AGAIN *clap *clap THIS is why I hate this dumb ugly hag. She is not a girl's girl, can't be independent without a man, can't speak up for herself, and cannot take accountability for her own actions.
Dumbass, YOU decided to marry that jackass of a husband. YOU chose to stay and be complacent. YOU had reckless relations with that guy and chose to keep the baby.
So why are YOU blaming YOUR SON being born for your sh*tty life????
I feel bad for Won Gae, but I guess the Nyeonbi Cheon he loved is already dead, and it's partially because of him why she died.
Because she trusted him she ate the poisoned fruit, but it turned out to be his twin brother who killed her. Idk if Nyeonbi Cheon was killed because Won Gae's family didn't want him to be involved with her.
see, if Won Gae had told Cheon he had a twin, there is a high chance she wouldn't have died so it is indeed partially his fault for her death
