this manhwa was too good. it made me feel too much and i went on an emotional rollercoaster. i cannot describe how pissed and frustrated i am about the cultural and overall gender discrimination though (and let's not talk about that monk, i already mentally assassinated him a couple times), it hit too close to home.
bless the author for the epilogue and side stories though <3 i got the fluff i didn't know i needed to recover from all that.

i honestly thought this was a very intriguing story and the mystery component kept me attentive as it's one of the plot-twist kind you don't quite see coming. overall hint: its one of those works of writing where it's a full cycle of angst. ending is bittersweet, but i think it was necessary for it to be a sensible ending, with a bit of realism to conclude yk?
seeing the comment below about the relationships, well i generally only read queer works so i clicked into this story, but idk the heterosexual parts didn't affect me too much since i knew it wasn't a huge contributor or main focus of the story (thus the stereotypical events also didn't bother me too much). i'm not a huge romance person in the first place though (i considered it maybe the secondary/tertiary genre of this story?) so take it with a grain of salt.
so i really do like both the mc and ml's personalities but over quite a few of the past chapters (just started reading yesterday, at ch 47 rn) i find it pretty odd that yunshin isn't hurt by seheon's words or put off by his weird "my words are law" type scenarios. also, if i were seheon, i'd understandably be pissed off if this nepotism employee kept bothering me during off-hours and crossing boundaries? is this gonna continue to occur bc im developing second-hand frustration over it :(
