This story is really interesting psychologically, because if you wanted to, you could interpret it in two ways:
1.) The MC really does have superpowers and the other guy’s love was strong enough to be unaffected by it
2.) The MC has severe delusions of grandeur/ mental illness and doesn’t actually have any special powers at all, but has convinced himself (and others) that he does
You can literally view this story in either context and it still works the same. Especially during the divorce scene with his parents, it’s common for little kids to be traumatized by that and make up reasons why they think it’s their fault. The other events happening after “using his power” could have also just been convenient coincidences. Not saying the author meant to do that, but it’s still a cool observation.
Was hoping that the seme would use the memories of his evil past as a stepping stone to become a better person this time around and set things right, but no that would have actually been good writing.THAT would have actually been interesting character development. My mistake for expecting that much. Looks like he’s insisting on continuing his evil rapist ways. I don’t hate dark stories, but I’m already at chapter 19 and by now there should be at least ONE redeeming factor to keep me invested in these guys. What a missed opportunity. What a waste of good art
