I kinda wish they would just switch love interests at this point. Naito and hat guy are actually really cute together, he’s fun even if you can’t see his face. Glasses guy is probably the least likeable guy here, don’t really care about him at all.
He’s just very one note, and pretty lacking in the personality/ relatability department. There’s nothing about him that makes you want to be invested in his character or see his story through to the end. He feels more like an annoying side character than an actual MC. Also the chemistry between him and Naito is completely nonexistent
Ugh this comic would have been SUCH a perfect opportunity for some vers/ switching roles action, but nope. Let down again. Multiple opportunities and sexy scenes for it too, and still nope. Writers seem to think they’re breaking expectations by making the tough crossedresser the “top” but it’s actually a pretty common trope now. We need tough and kick-ass drag queens who aren’t ashamed to bottom! Or at least power bottom.
This story is a good deconstruction of the “cold CEO seme” stereotype. Most of what makes this story work so well is being able to see things from the seme’s perspective right from the start, and see how twisted, yet well meaning he is. I don’t think it would have been nearly as successful a satire without his POV specifically. I do think the story could have been fleshed out even longer, but it’s good for what it is. A new fav for sure
I don’t know if it’s a genuine cultural difference or some kind of mistranslation/ misunderstanding, but there seems to be this reoccurring thing in mangas where parties, formal events, or galas are referred to as “proms” and I’ve just never heard of a prom gathering being a thing outside your typical highschool setting. In America and several other countries they are strictly a school/ teenager thing. So do they have adult proms in Japan or something? Or is it really just mistranslations?
