This one really pissed me off for some reason and I can’t really put my finger on why. Even without the rape it bugs me.

You have nothing to apologize for kid, first of all he just started kissing you randomly one day without even explaining his feelings or thoughts to you, so of course you’re gonna be confused this whole time? They really buckled down on not giving glasses a single likable or redeemable trait, huh? Blondie fell for this cold, listless jerk after being defended in highschool? Really? Well some people are emotional masochists, so if he’s happy with the bare minimum more power to him lol

Was a 10 for me, but then the last minute drama with the ex in the final chapters definitely knocked off some points. Wasn’t needed, didn’t really add much to an already angst-heavy story. Honestly could have wrapped everything up in chapter 13, and used the additional chapters for some cute extras showing them re-bonding and healing together. Maybe going on actual dates or something. Lightheartedness, which was much needed after all that. We didn’t need 5 chapters dedicated to some jealous b*tch, Lol. Darn,, almost made it to my favorites. Almost.

It wasn’t bad, but it does feel like there were some missing elements or unexplored areas here and there. For example, what was with the suit shop grandma refusing to be called “grandma”? I thought it was just a quirk of her character, but then there’s two additional dialogues a little after that scene where a character tries to figure out their relationship dynamic and he’s constantly interrupted before he can say “grandma” or “grandson” almost as if it’s a supposed or be a secret or something? I wouldn’t usually make a big deal of something like that, but the comic kept weirdly focusing on it, so it was kind of hard to ignore, lol. I also wish that we had gotten more of a peek into their future going forward. If their issues had been resolved a little sooner or we had gotten more chapters, we could have seen them try to survive as “rival lovers”. The concept of two people being in love but also owning two competing business directly across from each other is a good one, and it’s just not explored here as much as it could have been. How would that work? Would it be stressful? Will they ever live together? What happens if one business fails? So much could be explored. Also how would their workmates and families react? I’m sure they’re would have been some interesting opinions there. Some more development could have happened with the side chaotacters as well. Takeru went from being a bully and not liking blondie at all to just-growing up and owning a restaurant and being his buddy. Um…ok. Jun was also one of the bullies but he just grows up to work in blondie’s kimono shop. Also cool, but how did these developments happen? How did they get to these levels? Would have been interesting to know that? Also Karin- Chan from the suit shop, is she just an employee or also part of the family? Again, a lot of focus on their angst and not enough on the rest of this world’s dynamics. And the two MCs honestly don’t have strong enough personalities to distract you from that fact. So yeah, not bad, not great. Had potential.

Feels like we could have gotten the same story with less chapters. Dragged on a bit too long. Didn’t feel like 10 chapters worth of content, honestly.
