Was a cool set up until the fucking rape. Was developing into a beautiful, melancholy story without that even being necessary. (Seriously, the set up had plenty of tragedy and misfortune to work with already) but as usual, BL authors lack restraint and nuance. What a shame.
This chapter (2) should have had clearer descriptors of what’s happening and when. *5 years later* *a year later* something like that, just to help us out. How long has it been since the funeral? Is this after or before? When did that guy get divorced? I understand why so many readers are confused.
