I hated Hyesung so much, and I only read the rest of the series for the side couples because they were ELITE. Byul is such a red flag, I hope he doesn't turn out like Hyesung... Then again the other spin-off bombed when it had so much potential so I'ma brace myself ( ̄へ ̄)
you’re calling a kid a red flag??? HE IS JUST BEING A KID. AND HE IS ACTUALLY A GOOD KID. He doesn’t do drugs, smoke or get drunk. He’s just a tsundere like Hyesung, he cares a lot about the people he cherishes. Being naive, dumb and curious does not mean you’re a red flag

Buyl contacting Hyesung mother feels wrong, and he seems so selfish and inconsiderate of others. I'm not sure if somehow everyone thinks a 17 year old kid can lack that much self-awareness

I think you’re the one who’s lacking emotional understanding of these characters. And yes, a sheltered kid who grew up in a loving family, being spoiled left and right by everyone around him, can indeed lack self-awareness, as most teenagers do, even young adults aged 20-24. They literally just got out of their teenage phase, and they won’t suddenly mature overnight just because of their age. So, if a young adult still struggles with maturing, let alone a 17-year-old high school kid.
Ironically, the way you perceive Byul’s character shows limited self-awareness about the nature of teenage emotional growth.

Yeah, the main couple are cute now but I can't forget how Hyesung literally abandoned his baby
