Omg I have a theory: what if Kister never murdered anyone, but it was Jonathan who murdered people because he hallucinates (therefore pills) but Kister is in love with Jonathan so he went to jail in his place (somehow) and now there's a kister copycat who's actually after Jonathan (maybe because he murdered a family member of the copycat) and Kister went out of jail to protect Jonathan. What Baron actually is in this story isn't yet very clear to me, maybe he's actually not even Jonathans real brother or something? ╮(￣▽￣)╭ This is just a theory btw
