
...if all those nobles keep hating on thisbe after all this, I will have to take a break from reading this. they make me so mad. I guess that's why I can't hate on the ML (at least for now): no matter what bs he's up to, at least he's the one who is not just consistently on FL's side, but always lets her know that he's on her side.
Eager to read the different pov, but meanwhile: I LOVE the writing, and the portrayal of the red flags all over this chapter - it's so believable because that's exactly how they can be IRL. MC thinks what he's being told is cute and romantic because 1. he's not taking what he's hearing TOO seriously, and 2. he's looking at everything through very rose tinted glasses. In reality, this is exactly the kind of conversation one goes back to wondering how the hell did they not pick up on the warning signs (moving in together quickly when one partner has much more financial security and is generally more dominant).
Anyway, I'm curious to see if the ML will develop into a red flag (I can see him becoming more controlling and possessive as well), or if it will actually be smooth sailing from here.
