Hm i stayed up last night to read this. I was here for some smut but this is honestly not even wholesome smut, more like rapey-style and he behaves the same. I feel like her character changed drastically along the chapters - she was completely different at the start, very helpless but now she acts like a villainess? Kinda don't believe it cuz if she were that person she would have been like that from the start, but she wasn't. She had no plan and was a weak damsel. And i don't think she matured, it is not believable for me. The author just got tired of her I guess
The guy's character development is clear though - he falls in love and it is visible. But still I wouldn't say I like the guy based on how he acts. He is sexy sure but that's it.

Obsession and possession, you're right on the money. Sad part is you see it way too often in real life as well. He doesn't wish for her happiness or to be loved by her, he only wishes to own and wreck her.
