I didn't finish the novel yet, so here it goes....
She got saved by a guy, who has ties with the island of mysterious people her mother came from.
Regarding people her mother's people. Apparently they have issue with having kids so they go out of island to have kids and goes back to island. She's from royal family and only child of them so they will not allow her to remain outside. Island people are regard as almost god like, they have knowledge that's far superior and they consider people of not their race inferior. They use to be rulers of the world but now they just watch.
After she is all healed instead of going back to her guy she decided she needs to find way to gain power to fight island people who'll be coming for her in 2 years of time. She heads to northern area, ended up saving child king of north from barbarians. She decided to stay with them and help them with many of their issues. Child king's mother is also from island. when she fell in love and decided to stay, island people killed her hubby (king) and disfigured her. (she learned she's from royal family from her). Rest are right now boring and won't end it's boringness so I'm having hard time reading.
