Go see a doctor, as depression is an illness of both the mind and body. A good doctor will understand you and refer you to a therapist (to try and help "cure" your mind/understand what triggers your sad thoughts), and said therapist may prescrib medications to help regulate the chemicals in your brain that increase your depression. I personally advise accepting to take medication, it really helps, although therapy is essential too. You could also try new, positive things such as: start a fun hobby, say goodbye to people who make you feel like trash, exercising, meeting new friends, etc.

if you can't overcome it, maybe try to cope with it.
there are professionals out there who can help you out. please do not self-diagnose (that doesn't mean you'll be less aware of what you feel isn't right!). take care of yourself more and don't bottle up your feelings. as much as possible, talk to someone. always remind yourself that you don't have to go through it alone. good luck :)
