yaaay I'm glad cirrus and chan il got to make up, and that they had an honest heart to heart with each other as besties (bestie break ups irl hurt me more than romance ngl) I said back then that chan il should have been more understanding and patient, but it looks like even if he was cirrus probably wouldn't have been able to open up until skylar visited anyways... and now I understand chan il's prespective a little more, he felt like he was being dumped without explanation! I wonder if he was ever jealous as a friend towards skylar. teenagers can be dramatic and quick to react I guess lololol
ik this was skylar and cirrus story but the friend group is so underrated, including chan il's friendship with skylar

The preview from chapter 1 is now where present time is for the story. And also this is the second time Hee-seo has remarked about taekyung and dehydration (ch 19 was the first)

it's odd to me bc it seems like the development almost came out of nowhere, I just wish there were a teeny tiny bit more clues or insight to cirrus' inner feelings and thoughts, but I guess bc skylar is the MC and it's mostly from his pov
...but also maybe this could just be how easily conflict can be resolved. Cirrus dad can be more involved and concerned towards his son. Skylar can hear cirrus out, which of course can't be done until Cirrus speaks fully from his heart. it was a simple solution for a trivial mess from the start? or is this a set up for more angst and heartbreak??
also I think I read a few spoilers from future chapts in the comments beware

Cirrus is not the real protagonist it’s bc new fans ruined the series by pressuring Pakism to focus more on Cirrus while Skylar was forgotten cuz yall didn’t like his character cuz he was too “abusive” acting like Cirrus was an innocent baby who would never even hurt a fly wish someone could take me back to 2021-2022 where this series was actually good and the fandom wasn’t bias

Tell me what you think the future of Polar Attraction is.
this is from my memory a while ago, but the author left an author note (available to read on korean site). she said she had difficulties writing this series due to her health and pregnancy, as well as difficulties when writing the main characters. I think she said had a different image in mind for Biya but it didn't exactly appear the way she envisioned on screen.
so I am thinking that she began the story without a solid direction. regardless, she had won an award for another shorter work after this series hiatus. so she worked on something else and was encouraged by company to develop that title instead of this one. this is also in addition to her continuing to work on Talk to Me's continued stories.
What I'm saying is, it feels like she will drop this series because she has left it to gather dust and continue to enthusiastically work on other things. it seems like she has more passion and eagerness (at the moment at least) for these other works, and they are easier to write and approach. But I wonder if she will really drop this series she created? I'm not an artist but I know that "perfectionism" is something some artists can struggle with, like if the work is not what they had envisioned they will move on to work on smth else. At the same time, I think that she is fond of Biya and I can't imagine abandoning something I created. And there are webtoon authors who have managed to return after long hiatus, not to mention she is a big name. but on the other hand, there are many series cut short or cancelled because of health reasons...
at least we got to see garam excellent disgust face towards the barista ex
