I get why people don't appreciate this hidden gem. I mean, the author going into detail how people (humans) given the right circumstances, can be cruel, calculating, manipulative and borderline insane. It's not about normalizing rape, since we all know that it's omegaverse, it's about how people when subjected to desires they can't control will almost likely indulge in it.
Then, with Kanae, it amazes me how he can endure so much, but can find the littlest nomalicy and still live with it. When you're raped or put into a traumatic situation, life doesn't just stop, it continues with or without you.
All in all, I love this author, she was able to convey how complex we humans are. How we are capable or doing horrendous and insane things, and how we're able to even do a complete 180 and change for the better. What we did in the past will not change and it will remain the same, but it doesn't mean we can't change the future.
This is my opinion, I love this manga heheh.

This is very insightful and I agree. Humans can be scary when their desires can’t be controlled or when they act upon them. There are alot of people in the comments saying stupid things about the author and all but things like this actually happens in real life rape, manipulation and such.
