oh mb, i do admit i got the wrong idea of your comment but my point still stands. i think it's quite obvious the director wouldn't be the endgame let alone this have a happy ending but regardless it's still a bad story. there's barely any character depth (for example how the director dies before we could know anything interesting about him), some of the things that occur don't even make sense (for example how in the latest chap the mc just foolishly believes that the ml found the right after years) and honestly how the mc really can't grow a back bone even though he's the adult. + probably more things that i can't remember as of this moment

funny you say that because technically there is room to argue that there’s a possibility the director isn’t dead.. anyway even if he was, you do realise the director is very obviously a plot device kind of character right?? he exists to stir conflict between yijae & minhyung. he was never meant to be as fleshed out as an individual like yijae & minhyung are. i don’t know what “interesting” fact you were hoping to learn about him. a side character being used as a plot device is not new, and does not automatically make the writing lack depth.

as for yijae, yall need to reread the latest chapter cuz how are you going to say he’s spineless when the reason for his leniency towards minhyung was just revealed right in front of you. he is not “foolishly believing” minhyung, it is quite literally the opposite he is almost if not always suspicious of minhyung but he is ridden with the guilt of playing a part in minhyung losing his eyesight. yall want to complain about character depth when you fail to recognise & understand how yijae operates. he KNOWS there is something eerie about minhyung but he fails to act on it because of the guilt & lack of concrete evidence, not because he’s fucking spineless and doesn’t know what’s good for him
