I'm so excited for this! I love their plot heavy, twisted stories but this seems like a nice change of pace.

I was shocked to see a naked butt from Kyuugou of all mangakas.

He shouldn't have to sacrifice that and he's trying so hard to be warmer and not turn him away. He shouldn't have to change how he loves to be deserving of it.

I wouldn't be surprised if once Haesoo recovers, he'll just find Taku overbearing like his previous relationships when that was what he seemed to want when he was falling apart.

undertakenheart January 21, 2020 7:32 pm

He's more laid back in how he feels in romances. Even though they do everything right, not blowing up when they're angry and providing comfort when asked, if they're not bombastic with their feelings, they're seen as cold and uncaring.

I hope the author doesn't change it to, he needs to be bombastic to "fix" him. Nothing's wrong with him, he just hasn't found someone who understands. And with Haesoo's personality, a guy like Taku makes sense.

This is so cute. Asaichi is still an ass and abrasive but Yoru is genuinely happy with him.

They should've kept it as threat of violence from the brother, not a full on rape. Harada is usually good at handling subject matter like that seriously and honestly but it feels like window dressing.

Asaichi being fearful seeing his rapist and abuser when he seems to try to put it behind him, usually Harada would delve deep into the psyche of the victim. In this, it was kind of breezed over.

Don't get me wrong, I love this one. But I wish the rape hadn't happened. Not just morally but also in a story telling perspective.

I don't know about that chief...

yeah. great storyline. i would've never imagined the alpha to be the one caged

    undertakenheart January 16, 2020 5:55 pm

Yeah no, the alpha was obsessed and manipulative. I'm not going to feel bad about him because he's "caged in his feelings" or whatever. He's not the one with restrictions on how to live his life.

This was a nah from me.

idk what you have been reading but you've completely missed the whole context of the story. omegaverse storylines tend to glorify the theme of omegas being controlled by the alphas, whether it's bc of them being a fated pair or simply bc of pheromones but this story went beyond that. the irony in the title implies that the alpha was in fact being caged & not the omega. the alpha's life revolves around the omega. he gave up everything only to be with the one he loved. in fact, the alpha was so deeply enthralled by the omega, he even stated that he was born to be paired with him. "i'm not going to feel bad about him"? that's not necessary. he never once said that he was pitiful. they only need each other and none of that rotten family dynamics.

    undertakenheart January 26, 2020 5:28 am

Yeah I got what the author was trying to do. I'm saying it was done poorly. You don't have to explain it to me, that part was pretty obvious but it felt like an add on so they could play the "see, they're both caged" defense.

They were never going to work. It was really up to Haesoo to be willing to move on from this. If Joowon loves him like he thinks, he'll understand where he's coming from an respect his decision. Hopefully that's the case cause I'm so rooting for their parents.

It's interesting that in his internal monologues when he's trying to reject Joowon, he never mentions Taku. Taku isn't influencing this. It's always been Haesoo's decision.

    DreamChaser January 14, 2020 12:29 pm

That's a really good point. Haesoo's issues with Joowon were always there, Taekyung just happened to give him the little push he needed to escape a cycle he was already feeling burdened by.

They keep bringing that up and it took me out.

And I can't not see the brush as anything but a toilet bowl cleaner. This is a nej for me.

undertakenheart December 19, 2019 7:35 am

Phew... How many racist things can you fit into one chapter?

Anyways, don't translate the rest of this. Don't give this author more attention.

undertakenheart December 19, 2019 7:00 am

I'm streaming tears, that it hit close to home.

undertakenheart December 19, 2019 6:49 am

This should be his realization. He needs to grow up and grow out of his previous "relationship" with Joowon.

Taku is so in love and is willing to go through this drama to prove to Haesoo he's strong enough to wade through it all with him.

Haesoo's mom...I feel for her. In her situation, I'd be shocked, angry, embarrassed, and sad. She married the love of her life and their sons start a sexual relationship. What kind of family dynamic is that? (And don't say she's homophobic, she accepts him but can't tolerate this borderline incestuous relationship).

On top of that, she protects them by hiding it from Joowon's dad. This poor woman. Years later, they obviously still have feelings for each other too.

Joowon really shouldn't have anyone until he works on himself. Stringing someone along while you sort out your feelings isn't fair to the other party. Now that they're moving on, you're getting territorial? Grow up.

    Agreed!!

Facts! So true. Very well said.
