Miscommunication and misunderstanding are kinda classic problem in love story, but I feel like it’s kinda…. outdated? Gosh so boring
I used to think the couple is well presented as ferocious, but after reading the original work, I realized that what I thought already badass is still a tame version of the novel. Especially that lunatic Jay lol. I love them so much.
At first I seriously didn’t have prejudice toward the new art and prepared for it, but unfortunately I prefer the old ones. Why? Because Isaac is my top 5 BL characters of all time and his signature is the cold and stoic demeanor, which I don’t think represented enough in the new style. But oh well, beggars cannot be choosers… can’t go back with old ones so I guess we take as it is. Happy enough to finish reading all the novel series.
I don’t even really read guideverse but this manhwa set a whole new standard of true romantic comedy for me!! Not cringey, not trying too hard. I laughed throughout the series and totally lost it in ‘jaeha being old’ fiasco!! Relationship between bitter Jaeha and twisted pretty trash are so much fun. Wish it was longer!

Really look forward if there will be continuation in the manhwa… but at least I finished the whole book 1, book 2, and side stories of the novel so I feel like I can die in peace now, unlike before, torn by cliffhanger. Isaac is always my fave uke/omega. If anyone know stories with badass and composed uke like Isaac, please give me a light (▰˘◡˘▰)

My (unimportant) take on payback after reading it many times:
1. This is one of my favorite manhwa all the time. Period.
2. Funniest moment for me is when Yoohan creeped out thinking Jay is a comedian when they first met. I always actually laugh for that part.
3. I wonder what kind of strong hair gel that can change cute big brother to a hot daddy. Yes I’m talking about Jay’s hair and yes I love both styles.
As far as I know there’s no completed free english novel available, the official english one is still translated up to chapter 50ish on publang. I’ll definitely gonna get that after they finish translating more than the manhwa chapters. As for the manhwa, don’t wanna have high hopes but always wish the rumor about the comeback is true. We all need that…
Starting as promising, end up as frustrating. Bruh! What do you want??? You want to leave but when got the chance you stay and act lovey dovey then you try to find a way to leave again. I feel like the plot just running in the circle and nothing new happened in many recent chapters
