Uhh...is it just me or the 3 friends look sorta like the fucked up trio of friends in the main couple's timeline? Especially the woman and the wizard.
They are supposed to look same because they are from parallel universe (the same universe as this second valetta) and they are good people who stayed with valetta during four years because in every universe they are meant to be together or something.
All I have to say is the association guy(whatever his name is) is a bitch.
They all are. I'm willing to give Mr. Glasses the benefit of the doubt and think he might be the only decent Esper in this entire story. But poor baby MC is a naive guide in the middle of a a sea of trashy bitches.
