Ugh. It's very rare that I can't stand ukes in a relationship but this one just tees me off. He has NO regard for Baekyung whatsoever. He makes it sound like he's the one being wronged in their relationship but the one who's hurting the most is Baekyung. Baekyung is NOTHING like the guy who first hurt Chanbit. And Chanbit ACKNOWLEDGES that. So I thought Chanbit would be less of an ass. But NOPE.
Really? He's starved for affection and tries to have someone (anyone) close so he doesn't feel lonely and depressed. The ones he sleeps with call him a slut and derogate him. He's been told by the last person he wanted to date that no one would want to truly date him. There's one person (Baekyung) who stays by his side and is a friend to him. Why would he take the first step and tarnish that relationship when Baekyung has shown no indication that he wants to be more than a friend? In fact, Chanbit's first choice is always to stay with Baekyung. He looks for someone else to stay with him only when Baekyung refuses and walks out. Both of them are in a place where they can't make a reckless move forward without knowing what the other person is thinking. If it were as simple as just confessing with a flowery background, you wouldn't need an entire manga to show it?
You missed my point. I wasn't expecting flowery language mmkay? I was expecting the uke to be more considerate. Do you think it's natural for someone to be angry over the other party not even acknowledging that the two of them are friendly with each other then turning around and acting like he's a nuisance because he won't let him have something as simple as chicken? Or for them to brush the other party off and then turn around and act normally with them as if they're feelings don't matter one f*cking iota? Next time please read what I'm saying more carefully.
But even if Chanbit is so starved for love and thinks of Baekyung as his friend, wouldn't you normally listen so someone so close to you?
Being starved for love doesn't justify being an asshole. Because that's what Chanbit is.
If his condition was as you see it, Chanbit wouldn't have sex with his only friend that he doesn't want to lose, he would listen to him at least a bit, he would not be a selfish brat that gets nothing done without Baekyung. I'm so mad, Baekyung has to put up with all that shit, has to make sure Chanbit's slutty side doesn't get out more and doesn't get anything in return.
For reals, Chanbit deserved to get nearly choked to death. He doesn't seem to care one bit for his career, for Baekyung or even himself. He only cares about getting fucked. If he wants it so bad, why didn't he change careers? Maybe being a prostitute would suit him.
Some still don't seem to understand the difference between conversations and communication. Some called what Kim did a conversation. But it's really more about communication and that's not automatically a good thing. Conversations are neither bad nor good. There are no expectations commonly held about having a conversation. Communication can be either. Communication is expected to be productive. And it doesn't care whether you're a victim or an abuser, either, so if communication isn't productive and/or breaks down, both sides are held equally responsible for the breakdown despite the fact it doesn't ensure both sides are affected equally. Like another poster pointed out for themselves, things could have turned out far differently for Kim Ho too and he would have just added to the trauma he suffered while Sirang gets off virtually scot free. Thx.
Yup people are gonna downvote me to prove their point that Fan Loong telling MC that 'he looks fat in that dress' is not hurtful at all. If you don't get it go to my last comment here and think 'communication'. The same people also seem to think realism is boring because they just wanna see their fave couples fuck without knowing why they're fucking. In that case read some Zariya. Finally Mingyu just proved he was an abuser, chases after someone and decides all on his own to quit pursuing like the controlling prick he is. But people are like, he's so awesome????? Wtf? Yeah prove me right though for telling the truth.
I think because most off the people here are horny as f**
... and don’t forget that they do love to see a good hardcore gay sex over the fluffy/good/lovely relationship from the mc’s and maybe (Like I said just maybe) things here are progressing too slow for them! I don’t know but I understand your frustration
The only thing I'm confused about is why the MC's original sister decided to have the emperor kill Alicia off in the rewrite of her story when Alicia was never the problem in the original or rewritten version? Was the MC's sister feeling some resentment towards her for making her rewrite it and because Alicia was based on her sister she took it out on Alicia instead?
When I reread the part about the MC berating her sister for having the original ML (the brother) being named Ares I also realized it was a translation issue not a storytelling issue that caused me to be confused about who was being called Ares in that discussion.
Umm i dont mean to be rude but correct me if im wrong but ive watched and read many chinese movies and wuxia and i think that the author of the world our mc is in is only calling our mc ‘sister’ because its a respective title and kind of like a title for someone close to you or u respect, so it doesnt initially mean that theyre actually blood related sisters. Jus wanted to get tht out there to clear any sort of confusion or misunderstang?
It doesn't answer my question since it doesn't matter whether they are blood related sisters or not. Nor do I know how the difference between being blood related sisters and being not blood related would cause anyone confusion in regards to my question?
Sorry, his is what I got from reading it but, originally you don’t know if she killed or the sister even before the new ML was introduced. If your going to say she didn’t because they say she doesn’t show up again, since it’s supposed to be about this guy getting reformed then she could have been killed off in the middle/beginning. I don’t think the sister killed her off for spite I think that they just made OUR mc die because then she has to escape it, therefore I think it’s safe to think that the tyrant kills the sister in the original probably because it would show how much of an awful tyrant he is.
Also person commenting before, I think they are actually sisters, at first I thought what you were saying but.... meh I don’t know, and I don’t think it will be relevant anyway but I’m sorry if I’m wrong
Thank you for addressing my question. I disagree for a couple of reasons (but I'm reluctant to go into them partly because I'm already pissed at how Mangago's formatting made me lose that wall of text once).
