When reading omegaverse stories you need to keep in mind that omegaverse has its own rules: - Fated pairs can't control themselves - Omegas and Alphas in heat cant control themselves. - Male omegas get pregnant - Omega with a bond has eyes only for that alpha So by these standards you actually have to separate our and their worlds along with morals and accept that the Omega in this case did his best to control himself and wait for his Alpha to grow up.
