I didn't like them at the beginning, they both were just malicious, unrespectful and teasing towards the other young members (the ML and the Mayor's son) of the council.
But now it seems that maybe the fox truly likes only the wolf, but makes him to believe that he likes the ML and also that he gives hopes to the Mayor's son only not to let him find out his true feelings, since wolf's family is against not-purebred hybrids.
I don't get if the wolf is feeling and doing the same though.
