I’m guessing the author noticed all the hate that the side story was getting, so they decided to cut it short and focus more on the main couple that people actually cared about lol

I think it's because we have a cute, innocent character that everyone wants to protect, yet the seme "accidentally" spills coffee on his clothes and makes Dobin believe it was his fault, punches him so hard he knocks out, rapes him, refuses to believe Dobin and calls him a liar, tells him not to eat more because he might get fat, and then immediately has sex with Dobin again. I mean I get that it’s yaoi and the rape trope is a thing, but to me it just seemed superficial feelings throughout the story. Dobin is the type to fall in love easily, and yet the only feelings he has towards the seme are "wow he's hot" or "wow he saved me it must be fate." Like he doesn’t even know about the seme's shitty personality, so who's to say he won’t fall in love with the next guy he gets stuck in an elevator with. Also, throughout the story it just felt like Leegyum only sees Dobin as a hookup buddy, then as an enemy to rape, then as a hookup buddy again. Like maybe if it was longer and the seme started to fall in love with Dobin I would feel differently, yet I just lost interest in the story as soon as the seme became an asshole.
