On a side note, something that I will always find funny is how these authors think that fingering an ass works like fingering a pussy.
Like, tell me you've never seen actual male human beings having sex, without telling me you've never seen actual male human beings having sex. LOL

You're totally right but I think it's more about them not wanting to draw more panels than them not knowing how it's done. I mean at some point they should watch gay porn for reference (right?) so they must be familiar with the procedure...?? (not that porn is very informative but like do you get what I mean?)

Mh, no honestly I think if it's a deliberate choice it has more to do with what the audience wants. Artists don't usually skimp on sex panels, on the contrary some just depict the same exact thing from any angle possible.
But the fact is that probably 90% of BL readers are female. So maybe it's a matter of selling what the reader can "identify" with more easily.
In fact, mine is not a criticism, I fully understand this is fiction, so it doesn't need to be realistic, but still I find it really funny, cause in real life that aggressive fingering could send you to the hospital
At this point this can only end in tragedy. I don't see any way a redemption could be possible even less be acceptable.
