isn't he basically trying to get the MC to rely only on him by making him realize how miserable he is by beating him up and ruining his life?? That's so fucked up, it reminds me of one harada's stories I read the train one

Okay, shipping Soo-Young with his Ex and Minhyuk (Blonde guy) is pretty disturbing.
I get it, the sex with the Ex and Minhyuk looked great, and you probably have a personal kink for that kind of thing but, those two (Ex and Minhyuk) are far more toxic than Taesung...
And it’s even more worrisome how you can’t pinpoint the fact that, Tae-Seung is making Soo-Young value himself more, hence the “Punishment” whenever Soo-young gets so much as a scratch.

Yes it’s a messed up method, but like the saying goes “experience is the best teacher.”

"Uh......uh....yeah.....ok"

This is like me trying to understand the plot.

Cmiiw, so basically

Noritoshi Kamo a.k.a the brain guy like he is just a brain now and borrowing Getou's body, wants to make humanity can all optimizing cursed techniques; basically becoming jujutsu sorcerers. (You know advancing humanity and evolution or some shit idk)

However outside Japan, without Tengen's barrier help, it's hard to optimize cursed techniques. Only the citizens of Japan who have the capability to optimize cursed techniques without Tengen's barrier help.

Therefore its kind of unrealistic and contradicting since Jujutsu college is like in the same side as Tengen and the brain guy is opposing/fighting the Jujutsu College. (And probably the people outside Japan wont just keep vibing. They know Japan is massive in terms of cursed techniques and jujutsu sorcerer. If they know Japan be plotting something evil regarding these, they be running searching for Kim Jong Un)

The brain guy is waking up or you could say awakening people who have been marked by him via Mahito's cursed techniques. Awakennng in here is kind of not clear since it could basically just awakening the power he gave or awakening the person (or people) itself.

(Basically he be slapping the people's souls and tell em "WAKE UP BITCH, ITS TIME!")

People who have been marked by him fall into two categories:

1. People who ingested a cursed object or absorbed a cursed object like Yuji (the cursed object can be anything ya know, not only Sukuna's fingers). They have given the power to be a vessel like Yuji, basically the power to maintain and use(?) the cursed object without having the cursed spirit inside it taking over.

2. People who has cursed techniques but have the brain of non-jujutsu sorcerer? Idk, its either doesnt have the capability/ability/capacity of using cursed techniques or they just too dumb to understand/use/mastering cursed techniques like me (example: Junpei). They have given the capability/ability/capacity to used cursed techniques, basically he be giving magical sticks to those people and they become mahou shoujo. (Tsumiki, Megumi's sister, might falls into this category. Or maybe she is something more special later on)

And then the brain guy is unlocking/opening/releasing/breaking (idk whats the correct word) cursed objects' seals that he have been ingesting it to people.

Regarding the 'vow' thing, basically he vowed or basically made a contract with many jujutsu sorcerers regarding the cursed objects he ingested.

You know the type of vow like:
"I will never open this cursed object seal" or something like that less or more or maybe another thing.

Breaking the vow is like you know you are cursed or witched entirely or even much greater penalties awaits considering he be making lots of vows. (Its possible like ya know this is supernatural. Probs vows reinforced with cursed techniques or vow-type cursed techniques)

However, the vows become null when he obtained Getou's body meaning he can break any vows he made. Basically like escaping from FBI's watch after getting arrested for lolis or shotas.

Annnddd The Golden Age of Cursed Techniques which is the Heian period? Idk i have been writing this shit for too long. Yeah, its basically the age when humanity optimized cursed techniques the most or basically at its peak. Considering there are a lot of jujutsu sorcerers, cursed spirits and well duh Sukuna himself is alive at that time.

And ig thats it? Feel free to fill me in or correct me. Sorry for the typos and grammaticaly incorrect basically bad grammar lol

I actually think, that Yashiro’s mental stage was collapsed long before he grew up. As his mental stage continues to develop, he needs to stabilize his collapsed mental stage. That was when he started to tell himself. “I like sex.” “I like, when it hurt.” “I can’t feel anything if it doesn’t hurt.” By turning himself into a masochist, he was able to continue growing stably in a twisted manner. This is a powerful protective skill Yashiro learned from his childhood. He continues to use this skill even after he grew up, to protect himself and sometimes others (eg. use sex to exchange info to locate Ryusaki and found Nanahara before everything was too late).
Until Doumeki did rip off Yashiro's infected wound.
I always suggested, that Doumeki harmed Yashiro badly with his sex to him. Although his sex was gentle...Let’s put it this way: Because his sex was gentle, it severely damaged Yashiro. Him recalling his childhood memory was the solid proof of it.
Yashiro was twisted from the beginning. Doumeki never realized it. He never realized the damage Yashiro’s twisted childhood had done to him. Maybe because Yashiro appeared to be so mature and independent, maybe because Yashiro acts like nothing happens when talked about his past. But actually, Yashiro never recovered from anything, he never even admitted that he has anything to recover from (”I like how I am.” ----Yashiro Cp 2.).
So when Doumeki showed him the gentle love, he showed him what sex is supposed to be...
Yashiro couldn’t bear it.
When Doumeki showed him what a human is supposed to be...
Yashiro couldn’t face it.
If he admits that sex should be done in the way Doumeki showed him, he will have to admit his past 36 years of life was nothing but an ugly ridiculous sarcasm.
Yashiro couldn’t face it.

He couldn’t face himself. He couldn’t face Doumeki. He couldn’t face the endless cycle of twisted →accept pain →deceive himself →twist again. He couldn’t bear to live the rest of his life knowing he is a twisted man, wherefore he went to Hirata alone. Wherefore I actually think he wanted to kill himself or rather let himself be killed by Hirata or his men.
Now he meets Doumeki again and Doumeki, the one and only person that showed him how gentle, how real love and sex should feel asks him, if he can do it with him.
Holy shit. I think Yashiro might break after all and won't be repérable.

“You have nothing to fear, if you have nothing to lose”

As a teenager, Yashiro already believes he is twisted beyond repair. Because of this he enjoys self-harming and risky behaviour that poses no outcome other than pain and loneliness. Then on top of that, the only person he comes to care for (in his own way) tells him he is pitiful. This is how we are introduced to Yashiro.

“You are the light; I am the shadow”

For me, the most heart-breaking aspect of this story is Yashiro’s perception of his own self-worth. When Yashiro is getting beaten by Hirata, almost to the point of death, he states: “I want to sully the beautiful, to hurt those I hold dear, to destroy any happiness there is”. For those who believe Yashiro is cruel to Doumeki, I highly suggest rereading this chapter. In Yashiro’s mind, his cruelty to Doumeki is a self-harm tactic. Yashiro clearly holds deep feelings for Doumeki, enough for him to still be haunted by Doumeki’s disappearance four years later. When reading this work, it’s important to keep in mind Yashiro’s history and how it influenced the way he sees himself and others. Yashiro’s actions are much more nuanced than just “mean” or “nice”. Just like Doumeki’s actions towards Yashiro when they finally become intimate. Keep the backgrounds of Doumeki and Yashiro in mind, and you will see how intricate this love story is!

“Things that changed, things that haven’t and some things that cannot be changed”

I hope as the story continues; we get to see Yashiro finally begin to heal. I am hopeful that this will occur, as Yashiro is finally reflecting on how impactful the abuse he suffered as a child was on his psyche. Of course, I want to see Yashiro finally accept Doumeki’s love, but I also want to see Yashiro finally extend himself some compassion. He’s been through so much and sacrificed his own life TWICE for those he holds dear. The first when he joined the group to help prevent Kageyama’s family clinic from being threatened. And the second when he almost got killed by Hirata, which he believed would help push Doumeki out of the criminal world/finally tie up that drama. Overall, I am really hopeful and excited for Yashiro’s (continued) healing journey. And hopefully it is categorized in the "things that change"!

In chapter 14 before all the chaos really starts, Hirata tries to turn Ryuuzaki against Yashiro. When Ryuuzaki doubts that Yashiro would cross him, Hirata point blank asks him if he has feelings for Yashiro. Then in chapter 26, Hirata continues to try and turn Ryuuzaki against Yashiro. To do this, he chooses to taunt Ryuuzaki about his feelings for Yashiro AGAIN. He tells Ryuuzaki that Yashiro purposefully takes advantage of him, as he believes Yashiro is aware of Ryuuzaki’s feelings. In the latest chapter, we find out that Doumeki also realized Ryuuzaki true feelings for Yashiro. Yashiro’s reaction is so interesting! He looks off to the side as if Doumeki said something puzzling, and then shrugs it off like it could never be a possibility.

Even when Ryuuzaki is about to go to prison, Yashiro suggests that he find someone in prison. Ryuuzaki tells him he isn’t gay and thus he wouldn’t mess with any other guy. And still Yashiro never thinks that Ryuuzaki has feelings for him! Even in prison, I think Yoneda Kou made a point to show us a shot of Ryuuzaki’s (porn) magazine and it just so happened to be a page featuring a short haired woman who seems to have blonde hair. Ryuuzaki is so cute, he even blushes during his visit with Yashiro. I really do hope we get another update that features him, I would love to read a spin off with him finding love or even reuniting with his past lover <3 (sorry for the double posting ramblings, this is what happens when I consume coffee late at night).

I love this manhwa so much & I do hope there will be an anime adaptation of the webtoon. I do like the Korean live action.. its great. Very different but always expected of adaptations. Things usually get changed a bit much. Don't read beyond this point if you have not finished this manhwa, read at your own discretion. You have been warned..
( ̄∇ ̄")

[Spoiler Alert]
I really love the incomplete version end. It made me incredibly happy knowing that Hyun still has humanity even after becoming complete with his monster self. Being reborn.. into a emotionless body seemed kind of depressing but when he shows tears while playing the song he gave name to I was so happy I squealed. I kinda wish this was hell'a long but that would torture the author & I wouldn't want that. With the incomplete end version I felt it was perfect, it being more happy than being dark (where it could have just stopped when the two are on the rooftop of the apartment). It would be interesting to see if some of the others that hatch from those cocoons become like Hyun? After this Manhwa I am now going to read the other ones from the same author. Sorry so long.. I had to rant about the end, maybe others will have the same thought as I did. If you do please let me know your thoughts as well. Very happy to have read this!♡(● ̄(エ) ̄●)♡
