Not entirely illogical from what I gathered. Fl’s aunt sent poison for miscarriage and aphrodisiac so the fl would spend with night with the trashy duke. The b*tch found those from the things fl threw away. She will blame the fl and the trash will obviously believe and cause a ruckus. Btw this all has already happened so it’s not a spoiler. I’ll be dropping this now though. Got bad reviews from someone who knows the novel.

Sisley isn’t dumb. She is acting. She is actually manipulative af. And since she really isn’t pregnant she needs a reason to get rid of the ‘baby’. And fl is the perfect scapegoat because the trashy duke still isn’t letting her go. Mainly because she is a useful aide not because of affection.
