And I really do hope this one finds a happy ever after, completely different from what I believe is their future from what is mentioned in Chap 1 and 2
Bad things definitely happen. The opening pages themselves tell us as much from the very start. But the original folklore also ends up as a happy ending; Cheong comes back in the end. So I still keep my fingers crossed it will happen here too. Those two deserve some freedom and happiness after the lives they've lived.
