Daniel is the prince of a fallen kingdom. He now runs the assassin guild in the MC's kingdom. He is also the main villain of the Og story and the only one who doesn't die in the of story. Instead he just disappears.

yup, he's the final villain after his friend (the blond one) dies and wants to get revenge. his eyes look like jewels because one of his parents is an artificial spirit, just like the bird.
ok so I contrasted many translations to understand, but basically what they tried to say was:
the bird is an artificial soul as they said above. artificial spirits are often ignored, and the bird is binded to her and can't leave the book thing and can only manifest if she calls for him.
So she asks Daniel if the bird can be freed, because she feels bad for it. also she expressed how she considered it an individual being having his own name, which artificial spirits don't normally share easily. this must be daniel's weak spot for what I said before.
They spoke about the bird because the bird said he remembered Daniel from before. Im not quite sure but I think by ''before'' he means before he turned into a bird. So the thing is, Daniel reveals artificial spirits are basically a copy of an existing spirit, so the bird had somehow kept some of his memories from the original soul, before being copied, and also retained his individuality.
So, Litia and Daniel had said before they shouldn't fall for each other, but after all this, Daniel tells her he might have still fallen for her.

oops also the one who commissioned Daniel to kill her was the crown prince, before the birthday banquet, because he thought Litia was acting suspicious. In the end the crown prince didn't order him to kill her on the spot, but didn't revoke the order to kill her eventually either

yess the bird's name is Jen or something like that! so its kind of odd for the bird to tell her his name voluntarily, and for him to have such a sense of self, AND to have those memories. so he's special, and she wondered if he had such a strong sense of self, if he was conscious about being trapped and might be stressed to be kept like that. which is odd for her to think since artificial souls are slave-like beings for humans
What if the only reason magic man doesn't do the magic himself is because he doesn't wanna get fucked or die or something so he makes our MC do the dirty work.
