The depiction of the complicated and enmeshed nature of abuse was done in such an efficient and fantastic manner. It's hard to leave or hate someone when you learned to love them first.
Isaac is so smitten he devised a whole plan just so he can beat up Mel's ex and date her in one go lol.
I really like that they made Dominic out to be her over protective father/brother/uncle/sword and not another rival. I also like that the other male leads don't play a big role either and aren't even presented as rivals.

It is BECAUSE it's fiction that for once I would LOVE to see rapists get their ass beat right into prison. Give us justice damnit.
This whole neighbor-isnt-who-he-seems arc is a shitshow and the authors worst attempt at drama. Like who tf cares if your significant other had a high body count in the past if they're different now and don't do that shit anymore. jfc.

My biggest pet peeve for all "I'm going to leave the ML" stories is that the FL keeps mentioning over and over that she's going to disappear/not get involved AND YET behaves in a way that does the opposite.
The line stating "I don't want to be with him, but I don't want him to get hurt either" or whatever made me rolllllll my eyes because if you truly wanted to stick to your goal, you would've known logically he's obviously ok. Also did he not bathe or did he break dance in the assassin's blood to remain all stanky??

all the male characters in here are good looking, including ruben lol. ill take him - capable, master of the black shadows, isn't technically part of the plot like that so most likely drama free or at least drama minimum
