I have read so many books where these rich kids have their parents holding their lives in their hands. Telling them to do this and that, I just can't understand. personally, I think this is pretty realistic. People somehow have a harder time letting go. Hence many don't leave toxic relationships until they are black and blue. The thing that is not realistic is the seme's sudden epiphany. No one does that over night.
