Okay TLDR of the missing chapters
Setup: ABO world, shitty dad favors cocubine's son bullying real son (both Os), insert transmigrated business man here. So cheap dad and brother feed MC a drug to induce heat and toss him into the ML's bed because they want to see if he is faking being a B (he def is). ML manages to walk back out of the room and not blow his cover and the MC survives a heat that should have killed him without Alpha intervention. They form a team with the ML putting a very sexy magic item that will hurt him of he tries to betray (it is the chains you keep peeping under his clothes). They get sent to this empoverished town for disaster relief. They make schools and roads making this place awesome (despite interference). We are caught up now.
i ended up reading it on a different site and it was so so worth it !!! honestly such a great story. SO FUNNY, ML had me cackling with laughter!! definitely a new favorite of mine. but yeah the father and brother are the worst. (also you did a great job summarizing)

i’m currently 300 chapters into the novel and still don’t know if this is gonna end up being a bl or not… now when i started this i definitely thought if anything it was going to be het, half expecting a harem trope tbh, but FR the more i read the gayer it gets and demon like judge of fire is NOT HELPING the situation (she’s literally me though)

Coming from a reader who completed the novel, this is better than BL, Yoo Jonghyuk and Kim Dokja's connection to each other goes deeper than that. I don't see it as something to fetishized about, rather they are soulmates hence life and death companions

ah no i completely get your point, like, just the dynamic of “a reader and their character” is something that’s so special to see… frankly i do love a good bl but i also do prefer the friendship they have much more. and as a reader i completely understand the protective sort of love kim dojka must feel for yoo jonghyuk. i think, had it been a bl, it would’ve diminished that feeling.
lmaoo yes it’s the “no homo bro, just want to live and die for you” energy but very much appreciated here, everything about this series is perfect.
agreed! they’re too similar to each other for their own good, better for everyone to keep them as besties. definitely do get a good laugh at the other characters intense shipping though
Honestly, I don't think they are merely friends. They are more like family way? I dunno. It's open ended so everyone is free to interpret in their way. I just don't like seeing some readers saying that it is disappointing because it is not BL. I shipped them too but I appreciate their relationship and sees it as pure. By the way have you read the novel? Seeing that your profile is Hua Cheng....trust me you would love it.
I believe the correct word is Quasiplatonic relationship? More than friends but less than lovers type.
