I didn’t find the FL weak, if anything she was just depressed. we can see her talent in the later chapters when she gains confidence in herself, however it seemed like all that confidence and power was dependent on love. As soon as the emperor leaves she goes right back into a depressive episode and the only thing that pulls her out of it is her love for him?!? in fact, all her accomplishments and power are a symptom of that love?!? I just wanted there to be one moment were she is strong for her self by herself. We kinda got that when she fought with him about being used as a political pawn, only for her to back track and claim that loving someone is to sacrifice yourself?!? obviously this sentiment isn’t present in the emperor’s love. he had some guys sister killed for being her friend and didn’t face any consequences! all she did was talk about his horse, if anything the prince was an after thought, yet he manipulated the crown prince into killing all his friends and started a war. i know that want the sole purpose, but there were better, less bloody, ways to do that. they even talked about simply supporting him as a prince instead of starting a civil war before the emperor got all jealous. i’m the end. everything just worked out and she never realizes how manipulative he is, the only moment is when his subordinates make the crowd call her empress as a way to push for their marriage. she didn’t even get mad at him for calling her useless when they first met. i loved the plot though. the war arc was my favorite. but the romance was unbearable to me.
